This was our kids’ FAVORITE attraction in San Antonio on our Spring Break trip! Our girls are 9 and 11 and they spent a ton of time in the Spy Academy and after going through all of the other “exhibits” went back to the Spy Academy to train some more. Money well spent on this afternoon outing.

Very cute set up with a lot of different areas of interest. Several things were broken or not working. Fun place for kids to DO hands on stuff

A friend had recommended this place to us as a great place to go with young kids. They were 100% right. Our kids LOVED it as there was so much to do and see for kids of all ages. The play city that included a kid-size Whataburger was a huge hit with our youngest and our oldest loved the "SPY" adventure area. Both really enjoyed all the other exhibit areas as well. I would recommend getting there early before it gets too crowded and plan on spending at least 2-3 hours if not more to see it all. It does cater to younger kids so if your kids are 13+ they may not like it as much but if they are 2-12 they will most likely love it.

I thought this was going to be for littler kids so didn’t think experienced museum going 8 & 10 yo would get much out of it. I was wrong. There was lots to keep them engaged. We spent 3 hours and left only because it was closing time…

Wonder place for the kids. They have outdoor and indoor activities. They also have a mini cafe inside and a gift shop at the existing. My kids have a blast. We spent about 2-3 hours exploring. They have stuff for toddlers to older kids.

Go when it opens (9am) to ovoid the crowds as by noon it gets really, really busy. There are lots of hands on experiences both inside (upstairs & down) and outside so be sure to try them all. Staff is very helpful if needed and a great place to spend a morning -- we were in at 9am and done by noon; and it had gotten really crowded by then.

Great! My 7yo loved it and we would definitely come again. Much higher quality than other kid places in San Antonio. Much better than lego adventure or other equivalents. Hours of fun for kiddo. If outside was warmer it would be even better with the playground/water tables. Hours of play time here!

Totally overrated. The museum is a bad copy of El Papalote in Mexico City. Every exhibition is either broken or too blah. Not worth wasting 50 bucks for 2 adults and 2 children. Any of them didn’t enjoy the supposedly kid design museum.

Don’t waste your time or money.

This hands-on museum is outstanding - for all my kids of ages 5, 7 and 9. I can't believe there was so much, from writing to robotics to detective work to imagination - our kids forgot about lunch and kept going! We could literally stay here all day, it was incredibly fun for the kids and so educational for the parents! I'm so impressed with the depth and breadth as well as how multi-lingual it was and the many staff around to help and clean as we went. I truly wish there was a museum exactly like this in every city - our kids would be far better off!
