History & Hauntings of Salem Guided Walking Tour

788 reviews
There are many Salem tours out there but few are as compelling as this one, led by a local historian who brings alive the city's history at the time of day you choose. If you enjoy being scared, pick a nighttime tour led by lantern light. Visit the Burying Point, as well as modern-day practicing witches as your guide tells stories of the haunted history of Salem, Massachusetts.

I am a chocolate lover so I always stop in candy shops to sample the wares. The employee was explaining how the owner spends hours on one batch of homemade caramel in a copper pot for her candies. I thought she was probably exaggerating but I got a couple caramels anyway. She wasn’t kidding. I got a dark chocolate caramel almond square and it was HEAVENLY. Definitely no complaints on anything else either. Are they expensive? Yes, all good handmade chocolates are. But you’re worth it. ;)

Never in Salem without a trip to Turtle Alley. Fruit slices are the best you can buy! Real fruity flavor and not grainy ! Their chocolates are extra special! Do your self a favor and stop by and get yourself a little something.

Just happened to be walking around town and saw this. Love turltes and they make all chocolates sight there. They had white, dark and mil chocolate versions of at least 8 different turtles. Would visit this place again for sure. Amy was the owner and she was very nice and talked with us for a while.

Saw this chocolate store on Phantom Gourmet. We were heading to the original shop in Gloucester when my husband pulled up the location for directions and we noticed there was a 2nd location in Salem! Much closer! Wonderful little storefront right on the main street. Very clean, bright, open and inviting. Chocolate selection was just right, not too much to choose from, just enough. The different types of Turtles they had was great. We chose several different types and were not disappointed. The chocolate was delicious. I don't normally buy white chocolate out because if it isn't made well, it tastes fake. Their white chocolate was incredible. We will definitely be stopping by every time we are in Salem!

If you like turtles this is the place for you and we are talking the wonderful gooey chocolate and nut kind not the fun little green ones! The store is not on the beaton path but not out of the way however if not for the brochure in our hotel I think we may have missed it. Very cute nice and clean little shop nice variety and of course the main attraction was the turtles. The nice thing is that they had several different kinds and offered in milk, dark and even white chocolate which is a very nice. Prices are right in line with one would expect and the flavor is very very good. I will say the only thing and more my fault was that the turtles were spread out a bit so I missed a display that had some nice mixture flavors your normal turtle but with some coconut also added or some with dried fruit I noticed after I checked out well I guess I now have a reason to go back!
