haunted happening.
Awesome parade.
really fun and very family friendly.
Make sure to ask what you like from this hotdog stand that was set up at Salem Common because the guy cooking on the picture is not the nicest and very stingy in giving what you pay for. $8 hot dog with 3pcs of onion, half bun. Incase you recognize this man next time. Just sharing. Cheers
Salem itself is very fun and do the tours.

Commons are quite common is colonial New England and Salem has had one since 1667 just NE of the downtown area. It is a beautiful open green space with a circular, stone bandstand in the center. Today, in the center of the common, there are no trees; however, the entire perimeter is treelined with large beautiful deciduous trees. We walked through the Common on the way back from the House of the Seven Gables. What began as a drill ground and cow pasture has become an emerald gem for the city of Salem and something you should see when you visit.

We visit Salem often.....every year, all times of the year, all seasons. The Commons is always someplace we will stop and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the area. Our kids love the wonderful playground there is and it is surrounded by beautiful homes and a great central location and offers a great cut through to all the amazing attractions Salem has to offer. The wrought iron fence around it adds to the historical feel of Salem as well. Great place to relax and play!!

I absolutely love siting in the common when I visit. its the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee and listen to the winds whisper. Sitting in this common that has been part of the community for hundreds of years, you feel connected and transported through time. Wonderful public space.

Nice spacious area to relax . Came in Oct. There was a marketplace advertized here with food stands and crafts and venders. Only had about 4 food trucks -all outragiously priced taking advantage of Oct in Salem. No other venders. $8 for 1 hotdog - little crazy if you ask me. The park itself is nice with plenty of porta potties if needed.

The Salem Common is a lovely greenspace in the heart of the town. It's very pleasant to sit on a bench, on the steps of the monument, or on a blanket on the grass to read or chat with friends. The perfect spot for a bit of peace.

Beautiful green in the center of Salem. Lots of open space to sit and relax. It’s a nice spot to take a break from busy Salem for a few.

Very pleasant and large open green space to enjoy a taste of small town US life. The only detraction is the fairly busy road that runs by. Other than that, expect only dog walkers and a few stray tourists. This is opposite the Witch Museum and not far from a few worthwhile graveyards.

This is a nice park but pretty desolate in late February when I visited. There is a gazebo and a children's playground.
Still, I walked all around it. Must be beautiful in summer and fall.

Walk around the common and look at the beautiful homes . Or better yet dare to walk the common on Halloween night. This is a must do in Salem.
