The actors are college/graduate school theater majors who give a great performance and have studied their characters. Don't miss the chance to talk to them afterwards---they have very interesting insights based on additional reading, research they've done in conjunction with this part-time job.

If you only have time to visit one place in Salem, make certain you visit Cry Innocent, the reenactment of the arrest and hearing of Bridget Bishop, the first person executed for witchcraft in Salem. 15 minutes before the show begins, Bridget Bishop is arrested in the streets of Salem. Follow the crowd (be certain you already have your ticket... More

If you wander down Essex Street in Salem, you may come across a 17th century town crier and a band of similarly dressed townspeople. After several arguments, they arrest Bridget Bishop for being a witch and bring her to the Town Hall for questioning. Like other attractions in town, you will hear dialogue taken from the witch trial papers, but... More

Today I brought a ticket to a show to learn about the frist victim ( Bridget Bishop ) of the Witch trials and to learn how the Courts where held in those days. What I watched was so much more! It starts in the middle of the street and then the accused is taken to the old village hall with... More

When visiting Salem, we really wanted to know more about the Salem Witch Trials. A friend suggested we attend this reenactment. It was really well done, very informative, and interactive. It's definitely worth attending. It actually starts in the street about 15 minutes beforehand, so make sure you arrive on time so that you can experience everything.

A nicely done interactive attraction that gives a glimpse into a different time. The show actually started in the street 15 minutes ahead of time when you witness the arrest of Bridget. The actors were very good but there were basically four actors playing 8+roles which could be confusing at times. Also at times it was hard to hear and... More

This was a very informative and entertaining experience! It was well done. Very bare bones, with a cast that was talented. The interaction was fun, and it was both interesting and informative.

This was an amazing recreation of the Salem Witch Trials! The actors were really into every role they played, the women who played Bridget Bishop seemed exceptionally into her role and was just an incredible actor, I believe they said her name was Chelsea....kudos to you Chelsea and the entire cast of Cry Innocents, definitely one of the best times... It was like an interactive play. You start off meeting outside with the actors and work your way into the town hall for the trial where your part of the jury and can ask questions of the witnesses and accused. It was fun but midway through I got a bit distracted. I just get bored easy. I think it was... More
