History & Hauntings of Salem Guided Walking Tour

854 reviews
There are many Salem tours out there but few are as compelling as this one, led by a local historian who brings alive the city's history at the time of day you choose. If you enjoy being scared, pick a nighttime tour led by lantern light. Visit the Burying Point, as well as modern-day practicing witches as your guide tells stories of the haunted history of Salem, Massachusetts.

after dinner, this is a wonderful place to walk and wonder. loved the chairs by the water to take everything in. i do wish they would make the walk to the lighthouse a little more inviting. its very beat up, and hard walking. but it is beautiful

Pretty quiet in winter and the tall ship has its masts removed for repair. I can see how it would be a lovely spot in summer on a nice day. Views of the water, the historic site, etc. But just average in winter with very little on the go or open.

The warf is a nice place to walk and take in the sites. The Maritime Historic site is here, along with shops and restaurants. It's a nice area on the water. It's also a nice escape from the hustle and bustle on Essex St. It's also not far from the House of the Seven Gables. Definitely a place to stop either on your way to/from the house.

Nothing special. Nice place to walk by the water and some nice places to eat if you want to spend the money. Some cute shops to browse. Not as crowded as the heart of Salem on Essex street but still crowded....especially during the month of October

It is the end of the season, get that. But it has such an under construction feel to it. It was an ok walk, with an ok view. We just left all the Maine harbors, so it just does not compare to those. It was a safe area, appreciate that! Stores were cute!
