This is about one mile out of downtown Salem. A short causeway leads you to the island which is ideal for recreation. There is a large RV park which takes from huge Winnebagos to small tents. You can take boats of all sizes and there are places to fish, swim, barbecue, meet with friends and generally hang out. But it... More

Then this is the place for you! Lighthouses, sea glass, funny little seagulls and boats, this place is just phenomenal! Let your kids run around like little maniacs while you and your lover make some romance! Your children will most likely make friends with other children and you won't have to worry about anything! Just relax and have some fun!... More

It is a beautiful park. Went to Salem for the history and stayed here because it's the closest place to camp and found a hidden gem. Right by the ocean with a lighthouse and friendly locals who visit the park almost daily for the great view. Was so nice we now go every time were are in the area.

Beautiful spot and gets very busy. They need to make new showers and baths a top priority. It's unacceptable that w a place this busy that they only have 2 old showers and toilets. Older and dated and could use cleaners more consistently for the amount it's used. Other than that, nice spot in the city..

You have to pay about $10 to get into the park. It appears there is camping and kayak rentals. There is also a rocky beach and a lighthouse. There is a trail from the beach to winter island light which are good shots of the lighthouse. There are some large slippery rocks going out to the lighthouse I wouldn't recommend... More

As far as camping goes it was peaceful and for the most part quiet. We only stayed one night and I am not sure I would camp more than a night. We fell in love with the history, the beach, and the harbor. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A beautiful place to spend a day.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. You can go camping or just go to the beach and relax. I love sitting on the beach and looking at the light house. When you think of Salem, you usually think of the tourist areas. This is one of the hidden Jewels of Salem.

Been to Salem MA many of times over the years and have always done "tourist" stuff. Decided to try this park out and WOW...not disappointed! Great views, interesting history. This particular visit the fog was there after a morning of raining and it made for the best photos!! Clean bathrooms and many campers were enjoying themselves. The lighthouse is really... More

Comfortable campsites, clean restrooms. Waikiki beach was pleasant and uncrowded. The small rocky beach and lighthouse were very nice
