I actually live nearby and notice that people from all walks of life stop here throughout the day. This memorial has been a success.

This is another small, free, right in the middle of a neighborhood (but park anyway) tribute to those that lost their lives in the "new" location of the folks that were hanged as Witches. The hill is easy to visualize what might have happened. Unfortunate...More

I saw mention of this memorial on the wall at the Salem Witch Museum. It looked fascinating, as the recently deciphered actual site of the hangings. But actually arriving on the spot took up the remainder of the afternoon. Everyone told me that Walgreens was...More

I went in the morning and it was very quiet. I took a walk up the hill to a rocky area which they say is where victims were hanged.

This is the must spot to visit while traveling to Salem and it is beyond difficult to find. A great memorial is there to see, and this place is the place where multiple people were hanged, yet barely any signs leading you here. Just goes...More

Situated on a one way street of a residential neighborhood behind Walgreens is this somber stone memorial to those who were executed. It is believed this is the spot of the actual hangings.

Okay, so it's basically in the back of a Walgreens, but hey - where else can you pick up your prescription at the drive-thru AND pay homage to your fallen martyr ancestors at the same time? It's a quiet, residential area and a very unobtrusive...More

This spot is hailed as being THE spot of the executions of 19 people of The Salem Witch Trials in 1692. If you talk to some locals, they might not agree and I’m learning it’s much to the fact that they have been wrong about...More

This is a wonderfully done tasteful tribute. It's on a hill, in a residential neighborhood, behind a Walgreens, so it's easy to miss. I would recommend driving or taking an Uber. It's too far to walk from the heart of Salem. Really no reason to...More

So my daughter and I took a Lyft up to Proctor’s ledge. We were actually dropped off at the backside of the area closer to the playground. There is a small footpath where you can climb up in the area and look around. There isn’t...More

I scrambled up there. There is a fenced in area in the middle of the wooded area, but no signage. There are homes around and above the ledge.
