Who needs to be packed onto a boat with 100 other people and have no space to move. My father and I spent two hours cruising with Captain Mike and enjoyed every moment of it. While we were able to enjoy booze, we were also able to enjoy steering the ship and learning what a nineteenth-century privateer could actually do.... More

We took our staff out for an evening cruise and it was PERFECT, the skipper and his crew were outstanding. They helped get all the catering onto the ship and ensured everyone understood the safety guidelines, and then we were underway. We learned some interesting history about the Fame and Salem as well, and the skipper fired one of the... More

My husband, daughter, and I did the evening sail during the last week of August and it was the perfect way to spend one of our evenings in Salem. We happened to be the only people on the schooner besides the three person crew. Because of the timing of our trip we were out on the water while the sun... More

Had a Groupon and did the 2PM sail on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The weather was perfect which made for a great and relaxing sail. Only problem we encountered is that if you sit near the back of the boat you are unable to hear the Captain give his talk. The crew were personable and helpful.

If you enjoy just being on a sailboat, then this is for you. They make cocktails on board and tell you the history of the boat. We sailed straight into a heavy fog and could see nothing beyond the sails, but what we saw of the harbour was lovely.

Beautiful sail, hot in town, just right on the water. Captain Mike had lots of stories to tell and you could ask just about anything having to do with Salem history. Also loved the pictures and stories about building the "Fame". Very relaxing except when it was my turn to steer the boat (it was fun and a bit nerve... More

Captain Mike and crew provided us with a fun, friendly voyage on beautiful waters. Highly recommended. Be sure to cover your ears when they fire the cannon!

Great crew with lots of passion and information about this 1812 warship replica. Lasts about 1:45 hours. Adult tickets are $35. Drinks are available for purchase. Kids loved the hoisting of the sails and especially the mini cannon demonstration. Well worth the price!!!!

With the sun setting and a stiff breeze kicking up - this spry little schooner makes way smartly, silently through Salem Harbor past historic lighthouses, million-dollar homes, rock outcroppings and tiny islands. It is always good to see and experience the world from the sea. Fame is the perfect vessel for such.
