A very pleasant sunset descent into an awesome cactus-filled canyon

My wife and I went on this sunset trail ride together at the Westward Look location (stables located behind the resort - which we loved also). Luckily we planned things right for... read more

Girlfriend and I did the sunset tour. Brochure stated "scenic trails through Sonoran desert". It started behind the resort and basically was riding through a neighborhood. There were condos and homes in every direction (see pic below). Also, I ended up on a donkey. Definitely not worth the time or cost. If I were to do again, would choose some... More

My wife and I went on this sunset trail ride together at the Westward Look location (stables located behind the resort - which we loved also). Luckily we planned things right for a cool afternoon and with just two other riders and our fantastic guide Dina we rode around the resort into an amazing long but not steep canyon. Our... More

We were staying at Haceinda del Sol and decided to do the 1.5 hour ride. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The location at the resort was convenient. Everything else was pretty underwhelming. They gave my husband and I both giant, slow mules, not pretty horses. This was probably the single biggest disappointment. When you go on a horseback riding... More

I went to the other location on hacienda del Sol rd. I went for a ride with a few people. The view and scenery weren't exactly what I was hoping for but it was still very nice. I had a great time and would go again. Our guide was very helpful and told us a bit about the history of... More

We went to the location at Hacienda Del Sol with "Cowboy Jackson" as our guide. He was absolutely wonderful. There was a large family on the ride with us which included 3 small children, none of whom could handle a horse and would frequently freak out. The adults with said children were completely unhelpful and stayed on their cell phones... More

We went to the Westward Look trail for the 90 minute Sunset Ride. Regina couldn't have been more helpful or friendlier. The horses are so friendly and easy to handle.

My wife, my son and his fiance, and I had a marvelous experience on our two hour ride from the Hacienda del Sol stable. Rick was very accomodating setting up our ride and gave us great directions. This was a highlight of our trip and we would definitely do it again. Rick made our time extremely pleasant.

It was a lovely early morning ride. I wanted to ride a horse called ace and i did get to. The horse were trained so if you don't like horses theres nothing to be scared of. I recommend this anyone who wants to horse ride in tucson.

This place was great. Very helpful for my child that isn't comfortable around animals. I would go again, and really recommend it. Gorgeous views, sweet horses.

This outfit operates out of several locations - I rode out of Hacienda del Sol. Nancy and Val were great - thanks for making me feel welcome. The only odd thing was that they never asked me my level of experience or comfort with horses. If you have concerns or are an experienced rider and want a "peppier" horse, I... More
