Living in Tucson, it has to be one of my favorite spots. A beautiful place to experience all 4 seasons. Highly recommend! FYI: If you bring your pets, don't forget a leash.

We drove up and stopped at all the stops on the way down. Walked around. Very beautiful peaceful drive. Takes over an hr to drive up. It's just a great place to connect with nature

This was a beautiful drive into the mountains, lovely and quiet with All the cactus along the road. There is a village where you can have a drink

Really enjoyed our drive on the byway. Beautiful scenery. Plenty of areas to stop for photos. Many hiking trails. Lots of places to pull over on the road to let others pass if they are in a hurry. Probably crowded on the weekends and especially...More

Mt. Lemmon is so beautiful. On the East side of Tucson and on a hot day in less than an hour it's 30* cooler! My favorite hike is Aspen loop because you get it all! Aspen trees, tall pines, and the views are breathtaking. Take...More

If it's too hot to move in Tucson, you can escape the heat just outside the city by driving the Mt. Lemmmon Scenic Byway into the sky, where the temperature is guaranteed to be much cooler. The views are amazing, and the roadside informational exhibits...More

30 miles of curvy mountain climbing highway to Summer haven and Mt Lemmon Ski Valley. Lots of bikers but not as many as on the weekend. Take a camera and bottles of water. There are many picnic spots along the way. Enjoy!!

You don't need to get out of your car for some fantastic views!!! There are even a few pull off sections. Lots and lots of trees. It's too beautiful not to experience.

I would say from about one hour after sunrise to about one hour before sunset local Tucson time. There is not a toll to travel the scenic route, just a lot of curves and beautiful vistas to look out over.

Windy Point about 1/2 way up. The are 4 campgrounds all with restrooms. Also lookouts near the top and Marshall Gulch. Probably 10 or more places.
