Went up the mountain last Friday to escape the desert heat! Had lunch a the Iron Door at Ski Valley. Highly recommed the Iron Door for lunch. Sit on the deck and enjoy the Hummingbird activity.

I would say from about one hour after sunrise to about one hour before sunset local Tucson time. There is not a toll to travel the scenic route, just a lot of curves and beautiful vistas to look out over.
Does anyone know the names of any of the picnic spots with bathrooms? Can't find my map anywhere.....

Windy Point about 1/2 way up. The are 4 campgrounds all with restrooms. Also lookouts near the top and Marshall Gulch. Probably 10 or more places.
how do you get there from Casa Grande

Down the 10 to Tucson and you will see signs. It is East of Tucson.
