We took our friends with their kids . Loved it! Great place for a picnic and letting the kids run. I haven't been in the hot summer months but I'm sure if you go early it world be ok.

Not a lot of people go to this park, so it is not overrun. It is very nice with the water and wild life. A nice place to spend a day especially when the grass is green.

Lots of birds and the grounds are very well kept and pretty. Walked around for only a short time but enjoyed the palm trees which we dont have back home. Loved seeing the Vermilion Flycatchers everywhere.

Great place for a picnic or to walk the trails. It's apparently a good place for birding as we saw several. Several of the paths are paved and shaded. The park is full if palms and mesquite trees around the pond. We will visit the...More

I absolutely loved this place at one time. It was well worth the drive . However, the last time we went, there was no water in the "pond" (I hesitate to call it anything more than that for fear of disappointing tourist's expectations)! There were...More

I love this park. It is the perfect place for a picnic! So quiet, restful, relaxing, shady. A place of serenity. An oasis in the desert.

This is a nice park on the very east side of Tucson. Lots of trees and shade and a few picnic tables. The park has recently been maintained and is nice to visit and see the turtles.

A veritable oasis in the desert! Small, spring-fed lake with ducks and other wildfowl. Birdwatcher’s paradise. Peaceful and usually quiet. Walk the grounds and picnic with the family.Don’t fail to visit the historic ranch house and learn about the history of the ranch and park.

This is a fantastic family spot. Lovely (by AZ standards) picnic area - our grass can be a bit 'pokey' according to small grandchildren but they wear shoes..so... there are bathrooms, a stream, ponds with a LOT of turtles, ducks, etc. Walking path and some...More

No swimming or wading allowed. The closest public pools (Tucson Parks & Recreation) are Fort Lowell Pool at 2900 N. Craycroft and Palo Verde Pool at 355 S. Mann Ave.

There's enough wildlife there that I'd think your dog could stress it, even on a leash. But you might want call (520) 724-5000 to be sure about the rules if Fido really MUST come out to this oasis.
