- _leslie_lynne_gordonAspen, Colorado20 contributionsFun for all ages! What a great show and experience! Audience was made up of lots of extended families, as well as couples. Just good old plain fun and great entertainment! This troupe obviously loves what they do and we greatly appreciated the joy of the season they spread! Thank you!!!Visited December 2023Traveled with friendsWritten December 3, 2023
- Karen HDelaware, Ohio206 contributionsWish this were in our hometown!Fantastic! Excellent! Most Entertaining! Great Fun! Do ya think we liked it? LOL! We had the pleasure of stumbling onto the Gaslight Theatre on a visit to Tucson several years ago and put it on our list if we were here again. Once I knew we were coming, I made sure to make reservations, hoping we wouldn't be disappointed (as can so often be the case--good one time but not so good the next). We were so pleased to find our memory and hopeful expectations more than fulfilled. From the friendly greeting upon our arrival to the good pizza (& reasonable price) to the wonderful performance with its integration of contemporary songs, extemporized banter between actors, and audience participation, one can't help but laugh (as sometimes the actors do themselves). We found the performance so enjoyable we decided to get tickets for the next production, even though we will have left Tucson and will need to drive some distance to attend. Hey, we'll be closer than if we were home! Truly, if you find yourself in Tucson and enjoy "community" theatre at all, THIS is one you should NOT miss. Plus, after the play, they do another "show," so for the price, it's quite the deal.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 29, 2024
- GHillTravelerReno, Nevada115 contributionsA good ol' timeThis was just good old-fashioned fun. We arrived an hour before the show, so we could get drinks and dinner before the show. Pizza, chicken strips, and hot dog were good; cocktails were very good. We ordered a Banana Split Extravaganza and 4 forks, which the server delivered at intermission. It was so tasty, and just the right size for the four of us. The show and the after-show were very fun, and good for all ages. We wished we had such an entertaining place as this in our town.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 24, 2024

I have been to several shows at the Gaslight Theater and I have never been disappointed. The shows are light and fun, the actors and actresses are clearly having fun. The wait staff is polite and attentice. I don't think there is a bad seat although I haven't tried them all...yet. After teh show, teh cast lines up at the exit and thanks you for enjoying their show. this place is great for family and friends. I go to every show, every chance I get.

After reading the positive reviews for Two Gun McGraw, a group of us got tickets. What a mistake! I am completely baffled how it received so many 5 star ratings. Most of the reviews touted how the show was funny & hilarious. It was not! If you like corny & vaudeville instead of witty humor, then this is the show for you. If you read any of the 3 star reviews or lower, you will see that time and again, one major critique is the manner in which the staff lines people up. Reviewers noted as long as 5 plus years ago, a staff person would basically yell and scream for people to line up based on the table assignment. They are still doing that so obviously they do not take any suggestions under advisement. The tables are too close together. It seemed that most of the audience must be repeat customers because they seem to shout out along with the play, similar to the cult following of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The positive take away was that they had intermission and we were able to leave without being disruptive. Save your money - do not go!

What a fun evening, live music, lots of laughs, by actors who seem to be enjoying themselves. Evey table seems to be a great one in an itimate setting. Food, drinks, at reasonable price brought to your table.
Highly recomended. Get your tickets early, as it sells out

The show was great fun however the lack of service put a damper on the entire evening. We've been many times before and have had great service but not this time. The server didn't come around to our table until well after the show started. We received drinks relatively fast but the food came in waves with a salad and nachos (not worth the wait) being served near the end of the show. Everyone on the main floor had their food and drinks early on, perhaps it's a problem in the balcony? Definitely spoiled the fun, disappointing to say the least, especially for the price of the food and drinks!

The Gaslight melodram/muscial theatre is wonderful for people of all ages. The live music fits perfectly with great local acting. With service of food and drink at your table, come hungery and thirsy.
I recommend seating about mid-way on the groud level to hear and see well. Find a seat to the right (look at stage) to be closer to the exit if you like that.
Come a few minutes early to take photos with the kids.

The show ended up being more entertaining than we were expecting. The actors were having fun with one another (ie. slipping in an occasional off-script line), which is humorous as long as it doesn't get out of hand. The pizza was pretty good and we appreciated the endless basket of popcorn.
Our only complaint is that the tables were placed way too close to one another. We were seated next to an "aisle". The only way that anyone behind us could get in or out was for my husband to stand up and remove his chair. Same thing for the waitress to serve food, etc. It was disruptive and a personal injury waiting to happen.

While traveling to see friends in Tucson, they suggested that we visit The Gaslight Theatre. It sounded a bit hokey, but we agreed to go. The show was fantastic and the food served was very good and reasonably priced.

Had the great opportunity to attend this dinner theatre and see the play Showdown in Tucson....wonderful local actors. Fun props and audience participation like an old vaudeville type play. This is a very entertaining and fun local theatre. This is a must visit if in Tucson. Not to be missed. Great for all ages.

This is our second time coming here and we laughed until our jaws ached. You can eat and order sandwiches there or eat before you go. They do have the best ice cream Sundays! The Piano player is so wonderfully amazing that it is hard to take your eyes off of her. The singing is first rate and the melodrama itself is the best singing and acting ever. I can't wait to go again.

The Gaslight Theater is open year round (no shows on Monday nights. They do a concert series on Mondays), but they do a few different shows a year (maybe 5 different shows). So, the show that is going on now will not be the same show in June.
