The conditions were marginal. A lot of dry unkept area. And the women's tee boxes had no Advantage. Literally every tbox only had 10 yards Advantage if that. The only Advantage women get is on the 18th hole. Made a miserable day of golf being that it was a thousand yards longer than most courses for women. If you are are women friendly a woman playing golf in Tucson there are lots of other golf courses that are more female friendly

First time there. Very long course. Not much hazard to speak of. Good condition. They watered grass quite a bit so ground was softer than expected. Decent course for occasional golfers like us. We played round in 3 hrs 20 min. Wish they had a course layout map on scorecard. Where to go next was unconventional, very unclear for first timers. Hole marker placement inconsistent. Very few ball wash, which was not pleasant for such soft ground.

The tees, fairways and greens are all nice grean lawn in fairly good shape. But they don't use a catcher and a lot of loose grass appears on the fairways. Also, the non fairway areas, mostly with dormant grass is in horrible shape. Looks like they do absolutely nothing to it. Large grass clumps pot up here and there and can be 6 -8 inches tall while the ground around it is tightly wound dormant grass. They also appear to not pick up tree droppings. Same carts, hand carts, club house, etc that has been there for years. If they would invest a little in the non fairway, tee and green areas, plus some new equipment, carts, etc, this would be a great course. As it is, it is less appealing. It does not look nice with all the junk lying on the ground everywhere and with the lack of mowing on the rough. Another sore point with me is the bunkers. If you aren't going to put sand in your bunkers, don't put in bunkers! It is actually what appears to be a combination of small pebbles and reddish colored dirt. The consistency varies depending on the hole. Hitting out of these so called traps is not anything close to hitting out of a real sand bunker. Careful or your shot may come flying out of the trap and head straigh out of bounds.

Last Saturday I was very excited to have our daughter home after spending a year on a USAF remote assignment in Korea and YES play a round of golf with her. I have to admit I had not paid attention to the location of the ladies tee’s until Saturday...and I agree with my daughter, “OB Sports has done very little to make RN lady friendly”. As a casual golfer (11HCP) who values my time on the course as a family friendly experience I will not return to RN until OB sports makes RN and all of the Tucson OB facilities more women friendly. To the OB Sports leadership...Lets get with it and update the lay out of all OB facilities to make each golf experience a memorable and fair experience.

As a Tucson local who averages 50+ rounds a year I continue to be unimpressed with how easy it is for the Randolph management to ruin a round of golf. The most recent encounter of mismanagement was when they launched the early team times of which we had 2 foresomes, good news is we tee’d it up on time. The next act, which was messaged to those on the course by the starters and the cart ladies was that that management decided to push out a tournament in a shot gun format. You might think this is normal, however the launch included putting tournament players on the Par 3s that had none tournament players already into our rounds. The round that should have taken 3.5 Hours was now on track for a speedy 6 hour round. I am 100% in favor of tournaments, especially for those best ball events with a good cause, but these tournaments should not interfere with the paying customers who have already started their rounds. The bad news is this management team is known for not being golfer friendly...they only want to make money and have the expectation that golfers don’t have options. We’ll this one does have options and Randolph North will not be one of them. Did I mention that the same folks recently double booked the lounge area and failed to give either partly a solution that took into account the planning and coordination that both parties had to do ahead of the main event. The Randolph complex management needs to go or this great track will be better suited as a pasture.

Course was in great condition and is always challenging. Greens were not as fast as summer but maybe it was even more fun to read them. Bunkers were typical of Tucson - firm but well maintained.

A great Muni. Well maintained, reasonably priced, busy but not overly slow. Perfect for public golfers.

Played here twice in January, 2109, once on a Friday, once on a Saturday.

It does have some pretty vistas.

FROST DELAYS: 30-70 minute delays from tee times because of frost. So be prepared as apparently this often happens.
Course was busy on Friday and absolutely packed on Saturday. There was a group 2 groups ahead of us that were almost 2 holes behind - which led the course to back up badly. I asked when I finally made it in after almost 5 hours and was told there was a ranger but he had left more than an hour earlier. This is a BIG problem. We were there on vacation. Several local people told us that you can get good bargains at golf.com to play resort courses for deep discount that are much better managed than this one.
Be sure to check card because some water hazards are not clear from tee box or fairway, though they come into play.

The course is in good shape for the fall but it clearly gets a lot of use. Facilities have been updated and volunteer staff was helpful. Can't take the carts to the parking lot so a lot of lugging if you have a cart bag. Very walkable which was nice in the fall.

Built on property shared with Dell Urich golf course, this well-maintained city course is very playable and fun. Situated on mostly flat terrain, there's plenty of challenge for players at all levels.
