Very well done for a small visitor center. Staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful. Watch through the floor to ceiling windows for a great introduction to the indigenous birds. Good selection of gifts and books on desert flora and fauna. No sales tax.

A stop at this visitor’s center is very informative. Its good to ask questions before taking the 9 mile circle drive or taking some of the great hikes out along it. The 9 mile drive is great for cyclists, hikers, scenic auto tourists and photographers.

The visitor center is staffed by helpful, enthusiastic people. They guided us to an excellent walking trail - a very nice intro to the desert ecology.
