How about the servers serve the customers? We waited 40 mins for our meal. We would have waited as our server said food was coming but it didn’t. The other diners who came in behind us all had their food. Will never go back.

Great walking paths; plan to get lost!
Apr 2021
We enjoyed parts of this visit to Tohono Chul, but found the maps we were given to be totally unhelpful in finding our way around the park, and we ended up lost a few times because the map didn't seem to match where we were. The posted signs were also not very helpful, and we found ourselves unable to find our way around the park ANYwhere at times in trying to get to where we were hoping to be, and we often stumbled onto desired areas by chance. For example, there were no signs for the hummingbird or the butterfly gardens, so we were never quite sure we had found them even though the map seemed to indicate their locations.
However, on the pro side, we thought the walking paths were REALLY nice with loads of beautiful flowering cactus plants of various varieties abounding. The plants, trees, and bushes usually had signs to give us information. There was interesting art work and sculptures along the paths including birds made from metal or iron including some placed up in the trees. Very cool!
I would say the ONLY drawback were the poorly marked paths in some areas, and the awful maps which I would encourage the staff to update! This is well worth doing if you don't mind getting a bit lost and not finding some of the areas that you'd have liked to have seen.

Great brunch in cafe

Went with a large group, sitting outside with multiple options of food and drink. The potatoes were delicious with eggs.

Really enjoy this garden. Interesting trails and nice identification markers for plants and trees. Plenty of shade and benches for resting spots. Would highly recommend if you enjoy desert landscapes.

A Must-Visit in Tucson
Apr 2021
Tohono Chul is one of the iconic visits in Tucson. A beautiful grounds with many carefully curated and carred-for species of desert plants. Several lovely gift shops and art venues on the property, A great outdoor luncheon spot. Great splash park for the kids. It's a don't miss visit, or a semi-annual visit if you live here!

What a great discovery

Locals recommended we visit and we are so glad we took the recommendation! Awesome small Arizona botanical garden which can be easily visited in a few hours at a leisurely pace. Staff was quite friendly. Unfortunately the Bistro is closed Monday & Tuesday which was disappointing. We have found so many services are closed in Tucson the beginning of the week. Understand it’s post pandemic, but in order for business to regroup, one has to provide the operating hours tourists rightly expect.

Hidden gem
Jan 2021 • Couples
My date and I came here on Saturday first thing in the morning 9 AM. It was so empty and quiet. But yet it was so beautiful. I never even knew this place existed. They had so many cool little trails to walk on and just enjoy. They also had a lot of information you can learn like saguaros and the birds etc. they even have cute little succulents which is so cool. It looks small from a distance but it’s much longer than you think. There’s just so many cool little sights to see. My date and I really had a good time. We also got to see the store that they had. It had really cool jewelry, rugs, clothes and little knickknacks. And then right next to it there was the the art gallery. They had some really interesting paintings and statues as well pictures taken. My favorite was the one of the eclipse and the red moon. Overall definitely would suggest. I would say it’s like a little hidden gem in Tucson. My date and I never got to go to the bistro but I heard it was good too. Definitely will be back.

Nice visit during Covid.

We enjoyed our day here. We had a reciprocal pass from our botanical garden in omaha. I think it would have been a bit pricey if we didn’t have the pass. We really enjoyed the Cacti and the wonderful volunteers.
