Russell Cave National Monument is an amazing flash to the past. Ancient civilization began in the area due to the cave allowing for a large and easy shelter from the environment. The boardwalk from the Visitor Center to the mouth of the cave is not...More

We have been to many national monuments, this was okay. We were nearby so it was worth the visit. We learned a few this, had a nice walk, and took a break from driving.

Nice outdoor visit be ready to walk. May not be interesting to some depends on their interests. I have younger kids they could do with or without it but it is a place I would say is interesting at least one time.

The site is interesting and well explained. The pits and trenches were closed long ago, and its importance in understanding pre-Columbian history can't be understated.

We stopped while on our way home from vacation. It is not to far off the main highway and the drive to the place was pleasant through a valley with mountain and farms around you. It is a short walk to see the cave which...More

Great park/monument. We went to see it because my husbands family is from that area. The Rangers were very helpful and had lots of information, they were very friendly. The cave is very interesting and the area is beautiful.
