This spot has excellent chocolate but the location is closing. It'll still be available at select retailers (John Edwards in Ellsworth, is one). And I hope by mail order... The peppermint patties and the lemon drops are awesome!More

We read about Bayside in the Down East newspaper and decided to drive from Surry to Lubec to try their chocolate and the product from another chocolate maker in town. Bayside was a little disappointing. The store was much too large for the limited products...More

Thank you for your review and we apologize you found are store too large. Yes, the space is big and it is hard to fill it up with chocolate. We make our chocolate in small batches and don't load the shelves. This keeps it the...More

If you love chocolate, this is the place to visit. My favorite are the chocolate-covered mints—but it's hard to have favorites here—it's all good!

Love chocolate? Well these are spectacular! There is such a diversity of kinds of chocolate, using the native blueberries as part of the choice offering. The bon bons, the mint patties, the chocolate covered pretzels are just a few of my favorites, but there is...More

Not worth a purchase. Super market candy bars make better chocolate. Confused this location with Monica's Chocolates which has great reviews.

It's been awhile since I've been in Lubec (one of my favorite places) in person, but each year at holiday time when I'm thinking of chocolate gifts I only think of one place -- Bayside Chocolates. Their chocolate is great -- and so fresh! With...More

Stopped in here and was glad we did so. Yummy chocolates made with healthier ingredients. Definitely worth the time.

We had the truffles. They were sinful and larger than what you usually see without making you feel too guilty afterward. The chocolatier also has some gifts for purchase. The morning we were leaving Lubec we just wanted to grab a quick breakfast so we...More

This store wasn't as fancy as the other local candy store in town but in my opinion it had the best tasting chocolate. They also had some baked goods, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Don't walk by....go in and enjoy!

Their chocolates are very tasty, especially the dark chocolate covered pretzels with sea salt. I'd seen their web site and was looking for some of their peppermint patties to take back with me as gifts. But when I stopped in on Thursday, they were out...More
