Great place for winter golf. For a warm February day, this course was perfect. The course conditions were excellent and the greens were open! Good roll on the greens and was impressed how smooth they were. Course had some challenges and appreciated the Ross design.

i haven't played Triggs for awhile and was very pleasantly surprised at how good the conditions were. Right up there with some of the local private clubs. Really enjoyed the round which we finished in just a little over 4 hours. Highly reccommended.

I haven't played the course and can only comment on the practice facilities. Generally speaking, it's a 2-3 star kind of experience - nothing fancy, and the range looks pretty run down. BUT they do let you hit off of real grass rather than mats. I have found that to be pretty rare, and it matters a lot to me as a player. I'll be back here to work on my irons again.

Details on the range: $6 for 25 balls, $8 for 50. Irons only. No greens, but signs every 50 yards that seemed reasonably accurate. Very uncrowned mid day during the week.

Good putting green. Not a ton of holes, but the grass is well maintained.

Got to play at Triggs for first time on Saturday, it will be my last.Arrived at pro shop an hour ahead of tee time to warm up on range and putting green. Paid and asked for a bucket of balls. Was told that range is closed "grass tees". Asked for direction to the putting green and was told that was closed as well. Stated that you should put that on your website so people would not be standing around waiting for tee time. This is where it gets wierd, The cashier grabs the cart keyes and receipts off the counter and said I quote"You dont have to play here if you dont want to". Talk about lack of customer service. I said to this less than pleasant cashier not looking for a problem that you are trying to start, and the rest of the four-sum would be here. A half hour later I hear my name over the PA Speaker. The cashier wanted to know if the rest of the group was here.I told him again that the rest of the group would be here. Ten minutes later over the speaker I hear last call for my group. Really not the way I wanted to start my round. An observation, expect the kind of service you find RMV at Triggs. Is this the first impression that you want the paying public to take away? NO. Is that really the best person that you can get for that customer service job? Unfortunate that Tom has to act in such a unprofessional manner. The golf was over a six hour round.

The course improvements are incredible. As always this course will expose any every part of your game. There is no better feeling than scoring good at triggs. Winter golf or mid season golf. Their greens are always some of the best public greens anywhere.

This course is in bad part of town. After my round on a medicore course, I reported my car being broken into and my luggage (visiting from out of town and headed straight to the course) with all my personal items stolen. Course management said oh yes... this happens all the time. They are aware of the problem and they do nothing about it. no signs or security measures. I was simply told that I should file a police report. DO NOT GOLF HERE.

We recently ran a golf tournament here and the cooperation and assistance of the manager and staff was fantastic! The course was in great shape and was well maintained. The Donald Ross design was open and forgiving enough for the average amateurs yet there were enough challenges for the better golfers as well. We also had a follow-on luncheon buffet at the on-site restaurant and the food was well-prepared, very tasty and reasonably priced. Triggs remains a great place in the middle of Providence to play golf!

A good get away in the middle of the town . Country side feel within city life. Typical Rhode Island nice friendly crowd.

Had a fun mom and son golf outing at Triggs. Friendly staff, classic course that could use a little love. Easy going vibe for slow golfers.

We played here today.
Course was designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1933!!
Course was in great condition and the greens were tough but true. It's a tree lined course with wide fairways and though a little long on some holes it was fun to play.
There aren't any layout maps on the card or the tee boxes so we had to drive ahead before hitting our second shots on some holes to see what to expect.
The two of us played 18 on a Wednesday in under 3:30. Great pace of play.
