The Providence Performing Arts Center is a masterpiece. Well kept old school it has great sight lines from almost every seat. Was there for the Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban with the movie and RI symphony playing the soundtrack. Was exceptional.

PPAC (Providence Performing Arts Center) is a beautiful place to see a show. There is a parking garage right across the street and plenty of places near by to eat before the show. One place to eat, right around the corner that I would recommend is Bravo. PPAC is beautiful inside. It's the place in Providence to see off Broadway shows and shows that were on Broadway. We've seen Annie, Godspell, Stomp, Blue Man Group, Mrs. Robinson and the Nutcracker. Too many to name. The inside of the theater is beautiful and the people who work there are extremely nice. I would highly recommend the PPAC if you want to see a show in Providence.

Over the years we have seen some wonderful productions at PPAC. Among our favorites: Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Book of Mormon and so many more. We have never been disappointed!

Have been a Broadway series subscriber for a few years and enjoy every trip to PPAC. Seats are comfortable- more leg room the closer to the stage you get. Recommend first dress circle, great view and sound!

Very nice theatre to see a show at very good price. Happen to be walking by while visiting Providence and saw that a Bronx Tale was playing. Got lucky and scored half price tickets fir $44.

The PPAC is full of history and tradition. This building is your classic theatre with high beautiful ceilings. I have season tickets so have been to many shows. Some are terrific others not so much but always an enjoyable night. There really isn’t a bad seat, even second balcony while a little far away is great. The seats are a little small unless you are in the lodge. Over the last few years they started allowing food and beverages in the seating area. Would recommend this for anything from a first date to a 50th wedding anniversary.

Beautiful building. On road parking with meter. Went to see Shen Yun and it was a beautiful show. We were seated in KK and they were still good seats. It’s a great place to take in a show.

Came from NYC to see the band Bush here. What a stunningly gorgeous theater! Everyone was blown away by the golden accents and architecture. The sound was also great! Highly recommend a visit! Amazing location, too. Plenty of bars and stuff nearby!

Disappointing, main agenda is political propaganda against China. Dance moves were mediocre and no match to real artists from mainland China; since childhood I’ve watched a number of Chinese art shows internationally.
I wish I had done more research before wasting my time and money.

We came here on a Tuesday night to see "The Band's Visit" and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely friendly, professional and helped us to our seats. The theater is easy to get to and there are a number of parking lots and garages nearby for you to park at. The PPAC also provides a detailed pamphlet containing information about the show, policies and procedures for your visit.
Once the show was done, we quickly left the building and made our way back to the front. Overall, Providence Performing Arts Center is a great place to see a show, concert or a number of other forms of entertainment.

If sitting in the first row of the Second dress circle (balcony) would a child be able to see over the railing?
Written November 8, 2023
I think those seats would be fine, you're close and just left of center.

View are good no matter where you sit in there . Unless there’s a tall person seated in front of you.

Bringing (2) three year old kids to Paw Patrol what are good seats without paying $123.00/ticket!

Try the Mezzanine or Balcony. Seats aren't as large as in the Orchestra, and there is less leg room, but this shouldn't matter to children. And, from the upper area, you get panoramic views of the stage.

Many people have mentioned a problem getting out of the parking lot directly across the street from the venue. Can anyone recommend a different, but nearby parking lot? I will be attending a show with my daughter. We don't mind walking a little, but don't want to have too far of a walk as we are expecting rain the day of the show. Thanks!

Hi there,
I volunteered at the PPAC for years and found parking on Clifford near Richmond, 3 blocks behind the PPAC, to be the easiest. It was free street parking at night and points you right to the freeway for easy departure. Just walk up Richmond and turn right and you are at the theatre. Parking in a lot will cost $10-20 and take a long time to get out of. Good Luck.

What row in the orchestra does the Loge overhang? ie: how far back does the loge start from the stage?
Written September 21, 2017
I am not entirely sure, maybe where the double letters or so start.

I'm interested in purchasing Lode Center seating. Is this also considered the Mezzanine?
Written February 20, 2017
Yes, it is. The loge seating area is the first level up from the floor level (orchestra) seating.
Go to their wesite, ppacri. for a complete seating chart
