My DH and I decided to head to Providence RI for a nice weekend. Looking for things in the area I came across this tour. It was well worth the $18 for the 1.5 hours it took to go on the tour. Courtney, the owner/operator had a great way of incorporating humor and humanity into her macabre stories of love lost, runaway carriages and military men and their horses. The tour starts in a park above the city with terrific views as the sunsets. Courtney came dressed to the nines in her mourning gown and veil and really set the scene. She gives warnings of uneven ground and low hanging trees. Remember this is an old city and with all the charm of cobblestone is the uneven ground that comes with it..wear comfortable stable shoes as you will also be going up and down slight hills. There will be stops along the way in which you can sit and rest while you listen to the stories that Your tour guide will spin. Courtney gave us little LED flashlights to keep to help us see along the way, but almost all areas were fairly well lit by streetlights. Very interesting stories with lots of fairly up to date somewhat recent experiences. Tips: - buying ahead of time online was easy. All the tour guide needed was our names. - wear comfortable footwear - dress for the weather as the tour is rain or shine. - go with an open mind - enjoy the architecture and history - bring cash for a tip..although it isn’t necessary- The tour guides have to battle to tell their tales vs. loud traffic, uncomfortable weather etc.

The tour guide was fantastic, set the mood for a spooky walk on the east side. I hadn't heard any of the stories that were told, and I have been in the area for 20 years. It was a lot of fun with family and friends to walk through and see the highlights of the area. I will definitely do this again!

This was an amazing tour! Stephanie used the perfect amount of history and humor to keep us entertained a full 2 hours. Even though it was freezing (dress warmly!!), I hardly noticed because I wanted to learn more. Providence is gorgeous and the walk was easy. It could be a little tricky with a wheelchair/stroller/walker, since tree roots have grown through the sidewalk in places, but no more challenging than that. I would have loved a LONGER tour with more stops and something interactive, perhaps a passport of info or the like? Again, Stephanie was absolutely incredible and knew SO much. It felt like we were old friends by the end of the tour, and she stayed after to tell us a few more stories. :)

Thank you so much! We love the info passport suggestion. When we began the tour, we did offer a pamphlet, but found it frequently littered the sidewalk. Perhaps we could create a downloadable item, though! Love considering ways to strengthen our tour. We appreciate your support and enthusiasm! Happy Hauntings 👻
