We were at Brown on a campus tour and were looking for a place for lunch. Thayer Street north of the campus has about every kind of food that you could want. We had Indian but there was also Greek, Mediterranean, Arabic, Chinese, Mexican etc....More

Fun, active, busy street lined with restaurants and locally owned shops, including the Brown University Bookstore. Cheap pizza slices and froyo, that sort of thing, but also a couple of nice restaurants and bars.

I have mixed feelings about Thayer Street. On the one hand, there are some cool shops here but on the other, it's always busy with students from Brown of JWU, which is really annoying. It's nice to walk if it's not late at night with...More

Cute and easy to manage street of shops and restaurants. Probably more lively during the school year.

It has cool cheap food places. Specially in summer time. It is a famous street in Providence. Its always full of young college students. But its hard to find a parking on that street.

There is metered parallel on street parking. If you want to walk several blocks you will find non-metered parking. I recently saw a sign that some lot is renting parking spaces, probably new since the city started having... More
