Great old building. Cool key collection. Mediocre salad and soups. Everyone raves about the pie. I have no idea why. It's been around for forever. Would be oh ,so nice if someone bought this place and turned it into a real restaurant.

The lodge has been sold, and is being renovated, plans to reopen soon, looks like an interesting place, out of town, lodge with cabins, couldn't see inside, so no opinion there, sounds like it was quite the place, by other travelers, so lets see what happens when it reopens, 2017,

This Inn is on the list of Historical Inns. It is located at the top of the hill before you drive down into Estes. We visited the " Key' room with a wide assortment of all types of keys from everywhere and anywhere you can imagine. There are some keys on display that made me question how there were obtained,... What an incredible lodge, just minutes away from Estes Park ~ the entire place oozes of history ~ the floors creak, logs are on the fire and you can wander around soaking up atmosphere ~ incredible food too ! ! !

The soup is okay, but not great. The salad bar was okay, but some lettuce a little brown. Service was very good. The setting is very nice.

A great place for a soup and salad lunch. The wait staff is so friendly. The Key Collection is very interesting. They also offer educational programs on the covered porch in the evenings. Last time we saw an interesting presentation about banding Hummingbirds!

I'd never heard of Baldpate Inn before, nor the fact that there was key collection of over 20,000 keys with such a unique history! Thanks to geocaching in the area, my friend and I found ourselves turning around at the entrance to the road leading up to the Inn. Seeing the sign for a Key Room, we couldn't help but... More

We stopped by on our way to Estes Park. Very friendly. The key room was a treat and the rooms are charming. I would recommend eating here. Just a neat place to visit.
