WOW!
Oct 2019
We happened upon this place while taking a walk and decided to go in. WOW were we surprised at how beautiful the gardens are. All the plants and flowers are all that you will find in every part of Colorado. We were very impressed!

A Spot to Slow Down

We spied this place near a restaurant we visited. The kids insisted we check it out. It is a neat garden with each species labeled as you walk the path. If I were a local I'm sure I'd hang out here with coffee and a book.

A wide variety of native plants in a neat setting dedicated to Mrs. Walsh. We enjoyed learning about different plants and trees.

Nice and quiet

We stopped here early in the morning and found it very peaceful and relaxing. This is a great place to learn about local plants and scrubs.

From a local

This is a very nice quiet spot BUT the picture here is misleading. There is no stream in Mrs. Walsh's Garden! Only a nice path, lots of plantings and flowers. If you are wanting a place for the kids to be safely in water, this is not it.

Peaceful oasis
Jun 2019 • Solo
If you like crowded touristy places, you won't like Mrs. Walsh's garden. This is a small ecosystem that really lets the beauty of Colorado shine. It is quiet and peaceful, despite being right next to the road. It's a great spot to meditate, see nature, or just collect your thoughts. And it's free!

Peace
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is indeed a hidden gem in otherwise frantic downtown EP. The well labeled botanical specimens and solitude were terrific and a well deserved break from the maddening crowds. It seems a bit forlorn and unattended so may be low on operating funds. The fountain was not running, and had not been in a while. They did not have a collection box, but they should! We would have donated to maintain this oasis. Let yourself in through the iron gates and enjoy!

Stumbled on this gem while walking into Estes Park. Beautifully done garden walk with dozens of native Colorado plants, each labeled well.

A pant retreat

The garden is small, but has many native plants! I live in CO and didn’t realize that so many varieties would grow here. The walkway around the plants is part of the serenity of this garden!

Calming and Quiet - Special Garden
Jul 2018 • Business
This free attraction is a great place to read, meditate, take some photo's or just plain relax. Located at the West end of Elkhorn Avenue the garden was created by Judy to be a tribute to her family for all who come to Estes Park. The beautifully landscaped garden with bronze statues and benches to relax and rest. You can't beat the price or the experience.
