We were very pleased with the tour. Kevin, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. The other two guides were also very good. We saw a lot of elk and they told us about other wildlife in the park.

My wife and I loved the Old Fall River Tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the ecosystems and conservation of the park. We learned a lot and had an opportunity to see some spectacular views and take memorable pictures. As an added benefit we liked the idea of supporting the conservancy.

We tend to be wary of organized tours of any kind, but the Rocky Mountain Conservancy Elk Tour is great even for non-tour types like us. Kevin, our guide, packed a phenomenal amount of information in our two hours together, and we were virtually always observing elk behavior and enjoying the bugling of the bull elk. We learned about the... More

The tour guide was very knowledgable and knew what he was talking about. It wasn't a scripted tour. He kept the information interesting and provided information in terms people can understand and learn from.

This was a great experience. My sister and I knew we could drive to select locations in RMNP and probably see elk -- but would we know what we were looking at? No way! It seemed a bit expensive but it was well worth it. Our naturalist Ken was amazing (and funny). We saw a large harem and the alpha... More

Because my mother is not so mobile any more, we chose this way to view Estes Park and some of the wildlife, as well as the lovely leaves turning Fall colors. It EXCEEDED our expectations. The bus was very comfortable and the Professor teaching our tour knew absolutely everything . . . about elk, about trees, about literature, about spelling,... More

We were there at the end of September. We had a wonderful and informative excursion with Kevin Cook as our guide. We spent a good 2 hours watching a number of elk, including two bulls and their harems, a group of spikes (yearling males) and a lone bull, who was bugling and responding to one of the other bulls across... We have taken a Rocky Mountain Conservancy Tour before with Jo Wurtz, so when we saw that she was to lead this tour we were delighted. Jo is so knowledgeable about the various eco systems of the park she makes the experience both enjoyable and educational. Her love of the area really comes through. We saw and learned so much... Not only did we learn about Elk, we learned about so many plants, trees and other animals. It was great to be driven around so you could really take in the amazing scenery. Our guide was wonderful....great experience and would do again.

Jo Wurst is the "best" guide a tour guest will ever have. She is passionate about what she does, and excited about the park, the wildlife and the environment too. Unfortunately I learned so much that I can't remember it all. However, I do remember seeing it all and won't forget the visual experiences. Her enthusiasm is contagious and the... More
