For everyone that loves Tiny Town: and there are many of us: it is currently closed.
Mr. Mitchell, the owner and Tiny Town fixture died in the fall. All of us are sad. Even sadder is that the golf course closed at this death.
It has been purchased by Trout Haven and the plans are supposed to be that the golf course will re-open with the new owners.
As of mid June, the golf course is still closed.
Without Mr. Mitchell, the course will never be totally the same, but let's hope that it does reopen and continue with "family fun" for one and all.

One of the main reasons we trekked up the canyon to Estes Park for many years was to take our kids to Tiny Town ever since they were young. Now our kids are all grown up and just a few weeks ago we brought our son and his family for a round of golf. We were once again met with Bob's friendly smile as he helped our sweet 2 year old granddaughter pick out a golf ball she liked which she took happily and put in every hole we played. We were always greeted with smiles and friendly chit chat which made Tiny Town our most favorite place in Estes Park, driving all the way up the canyon just to play a round of golf. We were so saddened today when we drove up to golf and we saw Bob's van blocking the entrance and flowers on his golf cart. We would like to let the Mitchell family know how special Bob was to our family and how he made every encounter a joy. We would also like to let his family know that they are in our thoughts and prayers as we send our deepest sympathies from our entire family who enjoyed Bob's cheerful attitude, smiles and genuine friendliness that made everyone feel like they were talking to a longtime friend. We are thankful for the years of good memories that we all have to cherish. Bob is going to be greatly missed.

Yes, some of the other mini-golfs in town look a lot nicer. However, the place has them beat hands down. This is a family owned place and the old timer running this place is wonderful. The course looks pretty easy, It's not. Slight tilts, rises, and dips makes it fun and challenging. We saw Elk just 10 yards outside the fence. The price $3 - - - - - - YES JUST $3 cash! Half the price of the other guys.

Don’t mini golf here for the course, do it for the experience. The course itself is run down, not aesthetically pleasing, full of weeds, cracked concrete, non-working obstacles, overused clubs, and dirty holes. We told our group to enjoy the ‘live’ obstacles with the gophers running on the course and over the holes as we played. However, it’s cheap, fun, family time - which is really the point of mini-golf. Not the prettiest course, but all still had a good time.

Really not sure why the love-fest for this broken-down, poorly maintained, poorly managed course. The toothless old man can't make change, kept begging for $1 bills, has no ability to take credit or debit cards (which he disparages as not being real money), has no real hours, made excuses about why they couldn't open for another hour on a Sunday morning when he told us the night before he always opened every day by 8 o'clock, so we came at 10 o'clock to give him a little more nap time, suggested our group perform a colonoscopy with a putter on the crocodile because it was broken. Yes everyone pays only $3, but how much is fair to drive to a garbage dump or a funeral for someone you've never met. My guess is, a bunch of poor people keep returning to this course because of nostalgia and nothing more. Bathrooms are leaky and old, pop machine won't take dollar bills and seems to be out of everything except for a small gulp of water you could buy for 10 cents at any convenience store.

You can't go wrong playing putt-putt for $3.00. My kids love playing miniature golf and this little mom and pop course has been around for over 50 years. We play here a few times whern we are in Estes Park and still enjoy coming back. The flowers are very pretty and the course is challenging though showing it's age. The owners are very friendly and love to chat.

Tiny Town offers an old fashioned mini golf experience at a very low price - $3 per adult! The course is well maintained despite its age and is very very popular, particularly on a summer evening under the floodlights. Having played all three mini golf courses in Estes Park this is by far the best value for money and not to be missed.

Been coming here for years. The long-time prior owner passed away a few years ago and the new owners are really letting it go down hill. No water in the water trap, but standing water on a hole where there wasn't supposed to be. Grass was dead, weeds were thriving. One huge weed was blocking on of the playing surfaces. Sad to see this.

Yes, they replaced the turf, updated the course and increased prices, which is understandable but still very affordable. Definitely no longer has the family feel that it always has before, now that Trout Haven owns it. The strangest, and most irritating change for me was the change of their hours. I have been coming to Tiny Town for 25+ years with my family and we have always played in the evening or at night...along with countless others. We arrived a few days ago at 6 pm, to find that they were closing for the night but were going to do us a “favor” and let us be the last ones in. Through out the time we were there playing (45 mins) we saw a minimum of 7 families turned away because they were closed. Estes Park is a vacation destination. Why in the world, during their peak tourist season would they close at 6 pm?? It’s a shame that they have made these changes for the worse.

I have been playing mini golf here and visiting Mr. Mitchell for almost 15 years. The reviewers who call the place run down have no appreciation for the history with this landmark. Yes, I call it a landmark. We in the United States rarely appreciate history. This course is 50 years old, so that automatically makes it run down. I don't think so.

A round of mini golf is just $3 cash and the holes and construction of the course offer a lot of character. I scored 3 holes-in-one on the course. Score a hole-in-one on the last hole and you win a free game. How cool is that???

I will continue to play mini golf here for as long as the location is open. In fact, I would be open to buying it, IF it ever was for sale.

I love this place. It's a family tradition.
