My family of four (me, husband, two boys, 15 and 11) recently went on an off road tour in late July and had a great time in spite of the rain. We went on the Rock n Roller Coaster tour. Our guide was great! He made the trip fun and had some great stories to share. He pointed out interesting parts of the trail and ensured we were safe the entire time. The off-roading was a lot of fun, but if you are planning on going, I would recommend the morning tour when it is less likely to rain. It did rain the entire time, but they provided rain gear and put the roof up over the truck. We didn't get to see much since it was cloudy, However, we still had a blast on the 'roller coaster' portion of the tour. We would highly recommend this tour!

We took the 4 hour tour which brought us to the top elevation of Rocky Mountain National Park. We were a family of 14, age range 70-11 years of age. Our tour guide Wayne was fabulous, he was very professional and knowledgeable about the entire region of Estes Park, as well as the Rockies. We all came away feeling that we had been treated to terrific excursion, only wishing we had taken our 4x4 tour the first day, rather than last. I would highly recommend this company, because they are professional, knowledgeable and take into consideration the safety and courtesy of their customers. June 11,2022. The Albert’s of Louisiana

We have done 2 tours With Wildside Tours in the last 2 days and it was worth every penny and more. First KeKe in the office is Fabulous and is such a great asset to the Office very friendly and funny. On Oct. 3rd we took the Top of the World Tour with Wayne before we ever loaded up in the truck he took the time to get to know each person in each group in the Tour, he is funny and very smart about a lot of things but most especially about trees in the Park so much so as soon as we got back to our cabin after the Tour my Husband was out back sniffing Ponderosa pines, if you have toured with Wayne you will understand completely. The timing of each song played was perfect and even the timing of the story of Bird and JIm just as you arrive back in Town in front of the Bird and Jim Restaurant. Today on Oct.4 we took the Off Road Tour to Roosevelt National Forest with Phillip and even Phillip will tell you Wayne sets the bar high for the Tour Guides to follow but Phillip has a more laid back approach to his Tour but just as funny and informative it was just 5 of us on this Tour and it was more of a personal one on one feel to the whole Tour and being a Rocker from the 70's I really loved Phillip's music selections. Great Job KeKe, Wayne and Phillip

We booked a couple of months in advance of our road trip. Over the phone, communication was easy and everyone incredibly friendly in addition to being flexible to our interests. We are experienced travelers.
While there were several standard tours to choose from, we went with a private tour to see sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park combined with an off road adventure through Roosevelt National Forest.
It wound up snowing that morning and Floyd, our guide, picked us up at our hotel on time at 5:15am in a plexiglass enclosed off road vehicle which was clean, safe and comfortable. There were also blankets provided if you wanted though the heat inside the vehicle was great.
We saw moose, elk & deer in the snow which was breathtakingly beautiful and ended with our off road experience which brought us to a lookout where we enjoyed a fire and some hot chocolate.
Floyd was a fantastic guide the entire trip and informative with stories, history and facts about the area as well as plant and animal life.
We would definitely use this company again if back in the area and HIGHLY recommend.

Our family of four (8 & 11 year old kids) did the Not So Mellow Marshmallow Tour. It was by far our favorite activity of the trip. Our guide Dave was awesome!! He was funny, informative, and super attentive to the needs of everyone on the trip. Everything about the night was perfect - Perfectly timed sunset pictures, yummy hot dogs and s’mores, and the music for “roller coaster road” had everyone laughing and having a great time. Book this tour!

We (2 adults 40/50-something & 2 adults in 20s) signed up for the Rock’n Roller Photo Coaster Jeep Tour. Wayne was a great guide! He explained what the vehicle was & how it may feel like it will tip but won’t.
It was bumpy but I think Wayne gauged our excitement (high) & went with it! Luckily we were the only people in that morning’s tour.
He explained the history of the area, showed us some rabbit & coyote tracks in the snow (May 23, 2022!), explained how bears, elk & moose lived in the area, showed us claw marks on the trees & how they got there, identified trees and edible plants and played good music!
We went to the top of a fire tower & took beautiful pictures. Wayne pointed out peaks & avalanche sites, suggested a scenic drive (which we did & loved!) and took some pictures of our group together.
There was a bathroom (port-o-san) and snack (water, granola bars, cookies, trail mix, …) stop. Our jeep was enclosed in clear plexiglass. Even though it was cool enough for snow, we were comfortable & there were blankets under the seats if we needed them.
We definitely recommend this tour especially if Wayne is your guide!

We ended up with a “private” tour of sorts, since we were the only group scheduled at our time, with Floyd as our guide. We did the sunset photo tour, which is a lower elevation route including the Alluvial Fan, Moraine Park, and Sprague Lake. Floyd was a gracious host, sharing many interesting stories about the town and the park. We saw many animals during our trip, and even my teenagers enjoyed the stories and jokes. Highly recommend!

This jeep tour up Fall River Road and back down Trail Ridge Road with stops along the way for waterfalls, scenic vistas and education about the animals and plants of RMNP was really a treat. John was an excellent guide and it was obvious he loved and lived the mountains and showed great enthusiasm during the tour. I do recommend this tour as it takes you through a less traveled portion of the Park.

"That was so fun. Scott is a pro," is what my daughter Sawyer said at the conclusion of our sunset tour earlier this week.
We booked the tour earlier in the day after hearing so many others in town rave about the company, personnel and tour itself. It surely lived up to expectations. We took a sunset tour with Scott, who was an excellent guide full of fabulous "dad jokes" to set the right tone. We got to see a bunch of animals and hit some highlights throughout the park. A great evening to end our trip to Estes Park. Highly Recommended.

We took the Not-So-Mellow Marshmallow Tour. Fun off-roading experience, beautiful views, great cooking over a fire. Our guide was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to point out things we never would have noticed ourselves, like claw marks on a tree where a bear cub had climbed it. Would definitely recommend adding this tour to your itinerary if you want something different and a little wild.

I have a few questions please as I am going to Estes park and RMNP this month.
Any feedback would be very helpful. Thank you.
1. Is the vehicle used for the Top of the World Photo tour open window or a closed one? I prefer closed as I have a 5 year old kid and it will be cold at that elevation
2. Is one vehicle for a group of 10-20 people or it could be for a family of 3 only also?
3. How is the schedule for break etc? My daughter could need some toilet break...

We were a couple who traveled with two other groups in an open top vehicle, the best views imaginable! On the way, we had two locations where bathroom breaks were provided. Here's a tip for mountain travel. Pack for layering and always have a sweatshirt/hoodie packed for each member of the group if you know you'll be out past 5:00. Also, come to think of it, the travel group have blankets on the jeeps.

We are a family of 5 with a 17, 14, and 5 year old. Anybody take 5 year olds on the Top of the World tour?

We took that tour this past summer and there were plenty of children along. The vehicle is beyond safe and there's nothing on this tour that would give me hesitation on taking a child as young as five. You'll all have a great time. Make sure you ask for Dave to be your guide. The guy is very knowledgeable and a great guide.
I have a 3 year old and 5 year old. Would your tours be appropriate for their ages and do your vehicles accommodate car seats?

Hi, Amber! We do accommodate for car seats. As for the ages of your children, our Sunset Tour is ideal, since it does not go much higher in altitude than Estes itself, and is gentle.

Our tour was $80 for the two of us.
Are you requiring masks on your tours? I am looking for a tour company that does require them.

We just did a tour this past week. They did not require masks on the tour but if you feel more comfortable with a mask, you would have the option to wear one yourself

What is the largest group size that can fit on one tour? We have 7 adults and 3 kids.

We can definitely accommodate your family! We have 2 trucks in the winter that can hold a total 27 people and in the summer time we have 14 trucks that can serve up to 120 people. We would love to take your family on a tour.
