My husband and I waited outside the lighthouse for the first tour which was not until noon due to the tide. When the tide is in, there is no access to the lighthouse, not even for the resident keepers! This was June so we had...More

Absolutely beautiful spot. We couldn’t get over to the island because of the tide. It was a great place to look for sand dollars!

I love lighthouses and this one did not disappoint me. The people who led the tour were very informative and we enjoyed there details of the history. I have already told my family this needs to be a visit again at another time.

This is a must see in Crescent City. The staff is friendly and informative. The tour of the tower, while a bit of a climb, is very interesting. The docents gave a wonderful history of the lighthouse along with interesting antidotes about it. We walked...More

If you’re in Crescent City, be sure to stop by the lighthouse. It’s in a beautiful setting with the pink ice plant covering the rocks. You may not be able to get there at high tide, but it’s equally nice from a distance.

We just saw from the outside and it looked lovely. You can only go inside during low tide because during high tide the path is under water.

My wife and I made the visit here in the beginning of May and the weather could not have been more perfect. If you want to make it up the lighthouse make sure you check when the tides are low. There is a walkway to...More

Check the schedule that Lighthouse is open. In late April only 1 1/2 hrs open ( low tide ) to walk up to Lighthouse. Parking is close by and it’s an easy, short walk. Perhaps difficult for elderly without assistance. Views are beautiful from all...More

We were told to pay attention to when the water would be at its lowest so that we could walk out to the lighthouse. It was a beautiful view, wonderful history, loved walking the peer afterwards.

It's nice to go to the area to see the lighthouse but you can only get to it at low tide. At that time the water if off the little piece of land that connects it. You can't go in the lighthouse but its a...More

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.
