An Octogenarian's Delight

On the way, I expected Burt Reynold from Deliverance to show up. It's our favorite course, but it is also our longest drive, so we have to make sure all the stars are in alignment, weather, wind, etc. CN has so many great holes, and the scenery is outstanding. If I had one course to play, this would be the one.

Outstanding Course; Quality from Tee to Green!
Aug 2019
I believe Connecticut National is one of the hidden jewels in the area! The course is in pristine condition and offers plenty of challenge for the mid-handiapped golfer. The greens are especially well-maintained. The greens fees are reasonable for the quality of the course. The food and drink at the on-site bar/restaurant was also terrific. All in all, a great place to spend a half-day!

My go to course
Sep 2018 • Friends
I come up from FL. every summer and play with my old golf buddies and they played CT. Nat. last year. It blew my mind, coming off a dirt road to get to this place but the course really blew my mind. Fantastic condition plus a great layout. Getting an eagle on #8 helped too. A well placed drive will roll down to the front of the green. Went back this year, (no eagle) My favorite place to play golf. Talking to one guy who drove from Boston to play here. Keep up the great work guys

CNGC is in the middle of no where but worth the trip. Course has really great greens and a fun mix of short , long holes and 5 really challenging par 3's . Good food in the pub and an overall great golf experience. play 60 rounds a year and will be definitely going back .

Get's better each year
Jun 2018 • Friends
I have been playing Connecticut National once or twice a year for the last 10 years or so. At the start, the course was in a state of improvement and has seen upgrades pretty much every year.

After playing it a couple of days ago, I am truly impressed. The layout is interesting and challenging, but is still ok for higher handicap golfers.

The fairway grass is absolutely beautiful. When you hit your drive in the fairway, you are consistently rewarded with a lie that feels like the ball is teed up.

If you stray, there are mounds and fescue grass to punish you, but not overly so.

TIP: Because of the tall fescue grass, be sure to protect yourself from ticks with DEET.

Weekday senior pricing is $46 including cart and a $5 voucher for food, which is very reasonable for such a high end course.

Food in the clubhouse is excellent.

If you want to play an outstanding golf course for a reasonable price, this is the place.

Nice track took too long.

5 hours for a round is too long. The course is very nice and challenging but the waiting is frustrating.

Great course bad course management
Oct 2017 • Family
Course is fantastic and in great shape and if you have golf certificate you only pay $25 that includes a cart. A great value. Unfortunately, my latest round was to show off the course to my son who had never played it. He drove in from Providence and me from Tolland,CT. The round took five hours. No one from the facility seemed to be monitoring the progress of the players. We had to wait on every shot. Which, as a golfer, is very frustrating. We tee'd off at 1:10p and finished at 6:08. Any later and we would have been in the dark.

Loved it
Aug 2017 • Friends
Play this course for the first time. Absolutely loved it. The greens were perfect. It seems as though they care for the course from the greens back. The greens and the Area around the greens are challenging yet fair. I would join this course in a heartbeat if it wasn't an hour away. The staff was friendly. The food was good. I've already planned a trip back in the fall
