The Bradley Playhouse is one of my favorite places in the world. I love acting on stage there & I just love being there in general.

We recently attended a comedy show here. The Bradley Playhouse brought back so many memories of my childhood! This was the theater where I saw Star Wars as a child! The playhouse is exactly as I remembered it and we had a great time! Thank goodness places like this still exist!!

You may think that you have made a wrong turn and ended up in Manhattan and visited a Broadway theatre. This old theatre is being restored to it's former glory and hosts some classic musicals and plays with a great amount of local talent.
You will be impressed with shows that are performed here and absolutely don't forget to visit one of the many great restaurants like the Courthouse, 85 Main, Bellas, someplace special and the crossings
Manager Pat Green is a fantastic host!

I enjoyed The Night of the Living Dead (2021) except for 2 things unrelated to the acting. #1 - masks were not enforced or mentioned although tickets stated they are required. The couple next to me did not wear masks. #2 - the girl behind me kicked my seat non-stop. Overall, the acting was good with Barbara being over the top and the coroner being over the top. Loved the surprise we had in the front row.

The Bradley Playhouse has been entertaining the northeast corner of Connecticut with high-talent community theater for almost 30 years, but the venue’s history goes back over a century. In the heart of Putnam, a great destination in itself, the Playhouse has a yearlong 7-production list, with added events like 4 live-comedy nights, special appearances of entertaining storytellers and concert events as well. Popcorn, candy and soft drinks are always available for a low price and some performances add wine and beer availability. Seating 3-400, performances here are intimate, and can be seen in the recently restored interior featuring floor and balcony seating. Tickets can be purchased online or inside and there is a lift ramp at the entrance for the mobility-impaired. Great spot, and well supported by the community.

I am a actress (in the community theatre) but there is something special about the Bradley. Yes it’s historic but I love going to the Bradley whether it’s acting on stage or seeing a show.

Really great theater! Deceiving exterior, it looks like it will be small inside, but it opens up to a great size. Very professional proscenium with a large enough stage to accommodate a very complex set.
The cast was as good as any I’ve seen and we spend a lot of time in theaters. Met some lovely people in the audience who frequent this theater and we will definitely be coming back!

We love going to shows at the Bradley. It's a local theater with great talent. There is not a bad seat in the house and the tickets are always very reasonably priced. Highly recommended

Enjoyed a fun show-Buddy Holly- recently. They've done a very nice job renovating the theater. Recommend sitting in the balcony. (only drawback is climbing stairs if that is an issue for some)Tons of leg room and great views of the stage. Lots to do in town, antiquing and dining. Tickets are very reasonable. Will definitely go to another show soon.

I can't say enough about the Bradley Playhouse. Show after show I forget that this is a community theater - the talent is off the charts! Buddy, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins... all amazing!! But I'd love to see some new/good choreographers get involved - the choreography is inconsistent from one show to the next. Some are great and others lack any kind of imagination, originality, creativity, or even thought. Aren't there any local college students who study dance and/or theater and could use a little extra experience? Just saw Rock of Ages and it was an awesome show - the sounds, sets and lights were fantastic! - but what happened with the choreography? Blah. It's like there was no time or effort spent on that aspect of the show. A rock show like that deserved so much more! Find a student or recent grad with some initiative and talent and it could really put this place over the top! Looking forward to some great upcoming shows - The Nerd, Music Man!!
