Happy but not Thrilled

There was a lot more people that l expected and the patio area is very small, at some point there was almost 10 people in your hot tub and they were really loud l felt l was in someone's house instead of a peaceful spa
Facials were very good, WATER PRESSURE disgraceful for a Spa

Hi - Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry that we didn't meet your expectations. It's certainly our goal for everyone to have an excellent experience and it sounds like yours was not. We'd love to invite you back at a discount, in the middle of the week, where there are fewer guests and certainly a quieter spa. You can reach me directly at mandy@theremedydayspa.com and hopefully I can assist in scheduling a better visit for you! Warmly, Mandy Owner, The Remedy Day Spa

Best Spa - Hands down!
Jan 2020 • Couples
Best spa in ABQ - hands down. This was our second visit to The Remedy & I cant wait to go back. We scheduled couples massage on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived about an 90 minutes early so we could have a soak in the hot tub. You are greeted right away at the door and checked in and given our locker keys and offered sandals if needed. We then headed to the changing rooms where our assigned lockers have a nice plush robe and towel waiting. After changing, we grabbed some water from the beverage station in the waiting/relaxation room, (where they also have a nice selection of hot tea and snack mix) and then we headed out to the beautiful outdoor area that houses the hot tub and sauna. There was about 5 other people & that’s about the max that you would want or it would be too crowded. We hopped in the hot tub and had a nice long soak and tried out the sauna (dry) for a bit. It’s amazing how relaxing it is even though you’re in the middle of the city. The plunge pool appeared to be closed off, but that was fine by me. The only con I could see is that there are only 3 chairs in the area so we had to put our stuff on the planter area, but not a huge deal. After our soak we changed we went back to then relaxation area to wait for out massage. We were greeted by our therapists (I had Victoria) and they took us back to the room. We were offered to smell three essential oil scents and got to pick the one of our preference. Our massage included hot stones and towels, but we were offered upgrades (I opted to try CBD lotion) but we didn’t feel pressured. The massages were great and very relaxing. They make liberal use of the oils and hot towels. The hot stones are a great addition as well. When it was over & we came out we were greeted in the hall by them and cups of cold water. The locker rooms are well appointed with everything you could need to make yourself presentable: lotion, mouthwash, combs, hair dryer, plastic bags for wet suits.
In the lobby, they have a great array of organic products available to purchase. Everything about the visit was perfect from start to finish. It was exactly what We needed to rejuvenate after the holidays and I can’t wait for my next visit.

Nice relaxing retreat
Aug 2019
From the moment I spoke to the administrative person on the phone until the time I walked out the door, all staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Prices were reasonable and the outdoor space is a nice little respite complete with hot tub and a trellis to provide privacy from those reclining and those in the hot tub. Alicia was my masseuse and very intuitive as to the amount of pressure, and type of massage to provide. I left feeling rejuvenated after an exhausting week. I will be returning on my next trip to ABQ.

Five Star Experience
Jul 2019 • Solo
I had a five-star experience at The Remedy Day Spa! I received a Groupon for my birthday for a Massage Package with Amenity Access. I called and had to leave a voicemail to make a reservation on a Friday (it was the day after a holiday), and received a call back on Monday to make my reservation. I got in the next week with no problems. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. I do want to forewarn you that there is very limited free parking here. They have a few spots directly in front of the building other wise it's street parking (if you can find it) or paid parking in the lot directly next store. DO NOT TRY TO PARK IN THE PAID PARKING WITHOUT PAYING. Upon entering the establishment the woman at the friend was very kind and didn't treat me differently than any other customer for arriving with a Groupon. She showed me the amenities which I enjoyed thoroughly before my massage. They have a cool dip (swimming pool), hot tub, sauna, and outdoor relaxation loungers and hammock. There is also a beautiful indoor seating area with comfortable seating, water, tea, and snacks. They also have smoothies, sunscreen, and other great items available for purchase. In the locker room they provide you with a personal robe and towel, shoes to use, combs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and even have plastic bags to put your wet swimsuit in! I was happy that the woman who gave me my locker was thoughtful enough to give me a locker with the larger style robe, as I forgot to ask. Let me tell you this robe was great! There is nothing worse that going to a spa and being given a robe that you can barely close. This one was big, baggy, and had lots of room to spare! After enjoying the amenities I was introduced to my massage therapist, Michelle. If you want an amazing massage ask for Michelle! She did an amazing job and I feel like a million dollars. I did decide to add on the Mint Scalp Massage, and if you have the $25.00 I highly recommend it! It was a wonderful add on. I can't say enough how wonderful this location is, I will definitely be returning.

My husband and I enjoyed a couples treatment on Sunday; it will be a great start to our week. We enjoyed a soak in the peaceful, outdoor tub. Our treatment was sublime. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. The facilities are tranquil and relaxing. It was a wonderful afternoon.

Awesomeness
May 2017 • Friends
My husband surprised my sister and I with massages for Mother's Day. It was AWESOME! The staff was so friendly and relaxed. We were able to be in the same room and the massage therapists were very good and very professional. Then when we got done, we got to go soak in the hot tub. I would recommend this place to everyone! Don't judge by the location, just go inside and it is a totally different atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of sneaking a day off to enjoy a vichi salt scrub, massage and pedicure. I was in absolute bliss. I was totally loved up from start to finish with wonderful and gifted therapists in a very groovy and relaxing setting. Highly recommend to travelers and locals too who need a refuge from the outside world!

Top notch all around!
Jan 2017 • Couples
We had 60 minutes massages - my husband with Lisa; I had Tara. Both of us agree that these were some of the best massages we have ever had.

From the moment we walked in, we felt stress melt away. It was calm and relaxing inside as we filled out a form. We started with a bit of elderberry/chamomile tea and hot towels.

We then went to the dressing rooms and changed into swim suits and headed outside to the hot tub. It was really cold out but the hot tub was perfect.

We had 60 minute massages and the time flew. I actually dozed off for a few minutes!

We were offered some add-ons, but there was no pressure at all to upgrade.

We went back into the hot tub after the massages, perfect day.

There are two quiet areas with tea and some trail mix. They will order in food for you.

We give 4 thumbs up [2 each] to our day.

I have only 1 minus- there are no hairdryers in the women's dressing room, not even an outlet to bring your own hairdryer. I didn't ask about this but will when we book our next massages.

[Oh, bring a palstic bag for you wet bathing suits.]

Best Massage EVER
Oct 2016 • Solo
I purchased a Groupon for this spa for a 90 minute massage. When I walked in, staff was very friendly. I was given an herbal drink to help relax during the massage. She showed me to the wait room, which is large and elegantly decorated. This room had tea, water, and snacks. I was then taken to the changing room (locker room, bathroom, and showers) to change into a robe and sandals. I then went back to the waiting room to sit on one of their super relaxing chairs and drink tea. The massage therapist, Lisa, then came and got me for my massage. We discussed issues I may be having and she reviewed a few of the add-ons I could add to make my massage experience even better. I decided on hot stones to help with my aching back. Lisa's hands are magic!!! She gave me the best massage of my life! My back felt so much better after the massage. I was given brochures when I left and in fact decided right then and there to book a wellness consultation. I would highly recommend this place for all your spa needs.
