Stopped here with a friend. I have been working my way through all of the Albuquerque brew pubs. While this place offers mixed drinks and their own hard liquor it was a big disappointment. If you want the hard stuff, this might be a good place, and I can't comment on that but the beer was terrible. I tried two beers and both were bad. My friend had a cider and said it was not good. I tried their tacos and he had the nachos and they were also not very good. The only good thing about the tacos is that they were not made with those cardboard "taco shells" that many places think are the way to serve tacos. They at least had a soft tortilla. Staff were nice and so were the patrons to whom we talked. The location is in the general area where a number of local brew pubs/tap rooms are located. With so many good brew pubs in town, many of which have good food, there is no reason I would ever go back here.

The bartendar was very friendly and made good drinks. The kitchen however needs work. I ordered Wings....usually a safe bet. They came out extremely fast...too fast...in fact they were undercooked. Second batch came out and were....well overcooked with very little sauce. I passed on the food altogether. Will go back for the drinks though.

Distilleries can be cool and fun like this one! Their Gin is bold and aromatic with original style botanicals and the Vodka is clean just like Vodka should be. Well worth a stop for samples and a Mule!

We went here to try the pinon rum but they were out for the next couple weeks as it was still aging. Bummer. So tried their vodka instead. It was so smooth and had no after taste or anything. It was distilled very well and had to buy a bottle to bring home.

When you walk into Left Turn Distilling it reminds you of a garage. It is not fancy. Then you're served up some of the tastiest Old Tom Gin, and the owner launches into his process. He was a machine-guy in his previous life, hence the garage. He is so passionate about his distilling and sharing how he's created his own unique still at the site, not only will you want another Old Tom Gin cocktail, but you want to join him. It is about a two-hour tour, and well worth the time.
