We went here to utilize two hours prior to our planned departure. The museum turned out to have lots of information that you won't find anywhere else. We spent a little over two hours touring the museum (which has great handouts to go with their displays), learned a lot a bout the history of hot air ballooning and how it... More

We visited the museum on a Tuesday in August 2016. It is a really good museum with friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the $4 entry. There are lots of exhibits as well as experiments and even a simulator game where you have to fly a balloon and land as close as possible to a target. The exhibits cover the... More

If you want to learn about the history of ballooning, you should visit this museum. They are even building a new wing to the museum. The staff were also very friendly.

Colors, shapes and sizes. They had a kids corner that seemed popular with families. Had plenty of history. Clean bathrooms. Fun day

We really wanted to take a balloon ride but had limited time in Albuquerque. FYI: the balloon rides take a 3/4 of a day & require planning ahead. The museum was a great backup option. It is very educational and they were building a new wing to the museum. The only odd thing we noticed was - with all the... More

If you have any interest in ballooning this is a must see. The history of ballooning is explained in detail as well as a large variety of displays. The displays are well set up and chronicle the development and technology of ballooning from the beginning to the latest record setting feat. There are hands on displays that further explain the... The Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum is most interesting - giving the history of ballooning and having so many of the balloons, etc., on display. The guided tour was excellent.

My union held its annual recognition banquet at this lovely facility--I have drive past it hundreds of times but have never actually been inside. Since our event was held upstairs, we only got a brief walk through on the way through the exhibits. Everything we saw was well-executed and engaging in content and presentation. A wedding event was held in... More
