Then this is the place to start and return to every October. Make this place your hub for visiting the Balloon festival at least once and you might not ever do otherwise. Easily arranged online for tickets, parking, breakfast, museum passes, etc. We chose to visit on Thursday in order to see the Special Shapes. Though they only inflated and... More

Enjoyed the museum and their staff very much. Ann was SUPER helpful!! We were able to purchase one of their breakfast sessions. It would be nice if the Balloon Fiesta Web site had listed the museum and its specials also! Great view from the museum and half the cost of the Gondola which we did twice! Would also like to... We traveled from Atlanta to attend the 2016 Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albequerque. It was amazing, and beautiful.

We were there for a late day, the wind caused no balloons to take off. The food vendors charged high prices for food. A drink and burger cost me $17.00. So many people, packed tight. It is best to take the bus or hotel means of transportation.

Lots to do and see. So much information exists that I didn't even think about - farthest flight on a balloon, first person to cross the Atlantic ocean, etc. There's a 4-D movie that's included in the ultra low price ticket of $4 (for out-of staters). Large, clean bathroom facilities inside, and friendly staff willing to take your pic.

The Balloon Museum has all things ballooning, from the history back in 1783 to the latest around the world attempt. People and equipment. Even the ORIGINAL gondola's for several including the first Atlantic crossing to the around the world Breitling.
