We came here for a picnic in hopes that we would be cool. It is nice, but if you want grass and shade, this isn't the place.

Great place to hike for families. Several trails from easy to difficult. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery. The park ranger office has a map so you can see the various trails.

I wanted to visit here on my last trip but didn't manage to. Very nice trails for all levels and beautiful terrain. If you go in summer, go early before the heat of the day and keep hydrated. There were rattlesnake danger signs but I...More

I parked there to go see the TWA wreck and the parking was good, facilities were good, the trails seemed very well maintained and extensive. If you are just looking for a short hike, maybe you should just try one of the spots in the...More

Lovely trails and great accessibility. Albuquerque has many great areas to hike around it, but for proximity to the mountains AND the city, this is the one for a quick break from urban life without really leaving the city.

Clean bathrooms, nice shelters, clean grills...watch out for rattlesnakes - saw one on the cement path about 50 feet from one shelter! Bugs were a bit fierce...if you're having a gathering I would suggest bringing some strong bug spray for mosquitos & nats.

Yes, it gets very windy in March/April and can be a bit chilly, but still lovely for a hike or visit. The homes are awesome and the landscape just breathtaking. Enjoy and be safe.
