My wife and I spent three thrilling hours traveling around a private ranch in this company’s Jeep. We met our private guide, Frank, in a nearby strip mall in Placetis, and jumped into his Jeep. He was extremely knowledgeable about the property that we cruised over for the next three hours. He pointed out to us multiple groups of wild horses, two very friendly burros, a ghost town, a decrepit movie town set, and fossilized shark teeth and sea shells. Frank was totally engaging, with numerous funny stories about his experiences working as a tour guide. A true highlight of our New Mexico vacation, I would encourage anyone to seriously consider calling up New Mexico Jeep Tours and book a rewarding afternoon with Frank at the wheel!

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the land and history of the area. Our guide was accommodating to what we wanted our experience to be and made sure it happended. My favorite part was getting out of the jeep and quietly walking up to two groups of wide horses. Truly amazing to be able to see these majestic animals up close and personal.
I would say this is a must do on your trip to New Mexico. Even if you plan to go hiking on your own you will have a new gained knowledge of the land and were you are hiking.

This tour was the most AMAZING thing I have ever seen and done. Words alone cannot explain the beauty that we experienced. Having Frank as our tour guide was truly outstanding. He shared that he was Native American and lived in a village nearby. He was able to share history of the area based on his and his ancestors lived experiences. EXCELLENT!! Best tour I have EVER taken!!!!

Fabulous! Frank is very informative and knows his history! Loved touring Diamond Tail Ranch. The petroglyphs carved into the lava rock are really interesting. Seeing the ancient ruins and abondonded cities represents so much history and the different layers of societies.
Highly recommend, highlight of our trip to New Mexico.!

Beautiful tour with lots of interesting things to see. Our guide, Frank, gave lots of information, happily answered questions, and stopped frequently to let me take photos. Placitas is beautiful and the tour was a lot of fun. We will definitely do it again!

Had an awesome time on our Jeep tour with Frank as our guide. He was entertaining and informative and had great stories! We saw wild horses, petroglyphs and an old mining town. Best part was when Frank took the top off and we drove through the dry wash! My 16 and 17 yo also had a blast!! Book with NM Jeep Tours and you will not be disappointed!

We had a great time! Kent, our guide was so knowledgeable about everything. We saw lots of wild horses, he took us to places to see ancient ruins, fossils and petroglyphs. He took care to make sure we were comfortable and supplied water for us. We would definitely recommend this trip!

Frank was an amazing guide! Knowledgeable about history, Jeeps, the land, cameras, and just about everything. It was fun and he was really easy to talk to and he let me take as many pics as I wanted. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to know the “real” New Mexico!

We had an amazing tour with our guide Frank. He was very knowledgeable and filled us with so much local history. We had two people with somewhat limited ability and he would bring some of the relics to the Jeep for us to view or we could walk to them if we so desired. We also saw several wild horses … some just looked at us kept grazing and some tan off. Being from Middle Tennessee, it was awesome to see the terrain of New Mexico. I highly recommend this tour while visiting Albuquerque.

This was an awesome way to learn about the topography, history, and cultural history of the area around Santa Fe. Frank was such a fun guy and really knew his history. This should be on everyone’s itinerary visiting the area.
We saw so many wild horses, petroglyphs, artifacts, and cool remains of Hagen mining community.

Hi My husband and I will be in Albequeque on Thurs and Fri, Sep 27th and 28th. I have a bad back and we travel with a collapsible wheelchair. I can stand and walk but not for very long without lower back pain. We are doing a road trip through Arizona and new Mexico. Our 27th wedding anniversary is Sep 28th. Can you tell me if this tour would work for us?

Thank you for your interest in New Mexico Jeep Tours, and Happy Anniversary! We are able to tailor the amount of walking to what you're comfortable with, from small amounts to none at all, so whether our tours would work for you probably depends mostly on how you do on rougher roads. Our tours are all off road, but we can take it slow to minimize bumpiness. Our guides are very good about customizing the experience to what you're looking for. You can find more information on our website. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
How much for the tour what Is the prices
NMJeeptours

Pricing depends on the length of your tour. The shortest tour we offer is a 3 hour tour which is $150 per adult for two people ($125 per adult for groups of 3 or more people). Youth 17 and under would be $90, and seniors 65+ and military receive a 10% discount.
Where does tour take you, times for the tour and cost.

We have two tour locations: the White Mesa Tour and the Ranch Tour. Both are located about 30 minutes outside of Albuquerque. All of our tours are private, so you can choose the time of your tour. The cost depends on the number of people in your group and the length of your tour. Tours range in length from 3 to 7 hours. Pricing, tour descriptions and more information can be found on our website. Thanks for your inquiry!

Hi Maryann,
We can pick you up at Tamaya at no additional cost as it is roughly in the direction we go for the tour. If you would like to book a tour, the easiest way to do so is to submit a reservation request through the website. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Clint

We took a two hour ride and it cost around $250 for both. We did not make prior bookings... Just called and took the ride... Depends on the season though... Might not be lucky all the time.

do we need to book ahead, and if so, how far ahead? or can this be done while there (mid May, next month)? thanks

We usually recommend booking as soon as you know since we are a small company we can book up quickly. Usually the week before is fine. May is a pretty busy month for us. I hope this helps or you can call us at 505-252-0301 if you have any questions.
