This was our first tour to Chaco Canyon and we were not disappointed. We had learned from previous tours to Tula And Teotihuacan that a local tour guide was essential for a meaningful and full experience. You can read all the books you want before your trip but a Native guide makes all the difference. Kialo was superb! With a Navajo and Zia Pueblo background the insight he had and stories told were amazing. Chaco is a special and sacred place. Much mystery is still there and some secrets will always elude us and in the end are perhaps not meant to be told. Fantastic!

We did an unbelievable 5-hr tour of the Bisti with Kialo and it was certainly one we will remember for the rest of our lives. The meeting point was very easy to find and we followed Kialo in our car to the parking lot, and from there we began our 5.5mile hike to explore the Bisti. Kialo provided great commentary along the way as we made our way to see the egg hatchery, hoodoo city, the brown + vanilla hoodoos, manta ray wings, stone wings, and lots of petrified wood. Kialo is extremely knowledgeable of the area and as so can provide the best photo opportunities. We were able to take amazing photos even on a cloudy day and caught the best sunset. Kialo also took photos for us with his camera and shared them in an album with us after. It was an unbelievable experience and if you are in the area, you should definitely hit up Navajo Tours- don't even attempt to do this on your own without a guide... you won't be able to find the good spots or even find your car on your way back ;)

Our party of four had the best time touring Bisti with Kialo! He gave great directions to our meeting point and took great care of us from start to finish. He gave us lots of information about the area and his Navajo heritage. While he took many photos and videos of our visit, he also gave photography tips for our own photos. We were given time to wander on our own in this most unusual landscape with Kialo always nearby to answer questions or give assistance when needed. I think its best to have a tour guide for this area because it could be very hard to find some of the interesting formations on your own. Our whole group highly recommends Kialo and Navajo Tours USA!!

The Valley of Dreams section of the Bisti Badlands is the best place for nature photography I've ever been. Kialo & Gilbert knew this area like the back of their hands. They took me to the best places for my photos and were patient while I took 1,500 pictures over the 2 tours I had with them. In addition, I learned a lot about the land and the Navajo people and issues. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
