About
As the flamenco capitol of the United States, when in Albuquerque, experiencing a tablao is a must! Presented by the National Institute of Flamenco & Heritage Hotels, Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque features award-winning international artists, as well as performances by members of Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, the first ever US/NM-based flamenco company to be invited to a Spanish flamenco festival — the 27th Festival de Jerez. Flamenco is a UNESCO-protected artform. A defining characteristics of a tablao is the intimate setting. Tablao is a structured improvisational conversation between the dancers and musicians, so no two performances are ever the same. Our tablao was designed from the ground up to serve as the country's premier home for this vibrant artform. We are available for private events.

We loved our evening at Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque! Highly recommend starting your night off with some delicious sangria. The flamenco performance was outstanding! The artists on stage are incredibly talented. One by one, each seasoned musician and dancer takes the spotlight and shows off their skills. The dancers hit the floorboards so hard, they shake. The singer sings so powerfully that you can feel the vibrations. The guitarist plays so fast and so skillfully that it is unbelievable. The collective emotion is raw, powerful, impactful. A tablao performance is unlike anything else you will experience. The performance will transport you to Spain without having to leave New Mexico. How lucky is Albuquerque to have such a unique destination for world-class flamenco?! Do yourself a favor and go experience Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque for yourself!

Sit back an enjoy a sultry Spanish night, from the connivence of your own city! The new four-course dinner is a delectable blend of Spanish cuisine and iconic New Mexican flavor, and honestly I am still dreaming of the shrimp in the Gambas Al Ajillo.
The real beauty of tablao is the poetic dialogue between the dancers and musicians, which, due to its improvisational structure, is never the same twice. From the depths of the cante, to the cry of the guitar, to the ebb anf flow of the dance -- it is a performance of emotional truth.

I was in New Mexico for a short visit and knew a Flamenco 💃 show was a must while visiting New Mexico. The dancers were phenomenal and my Mom is still talking about the performers. The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. Everyone was eating while everyone in our section watched. Our waiter forgot about us or had too many responsibilities. He was pretty much non existent throughout our dinner and his coworkers had to help. The only thing our waiter did was bring out our bill on time. The service needs to be better, but everything else was great especially the hotel it’s in.

Advertised for 75-85 dollars. They don’t tell you there will be a 15.00 “processing fee” for EACH person attending, and a processing fee of 6.00 on the wine (at 30.00 a bottle). So in reality it is 100.00 per person. Just beware. They don’t answer their phone, and you will get no assistance at Hotel Albuquerque to get tickets at the venue. Just be honest and tell people how much it’s going to cost. NO HIDDEN EXPENSES!! Good grief, this booking a ticket situation is getting out of hand.

My granddaughter and I attended the Sunday Matinee. We were seated in the middle of the room. The room is not a large hall, but an intimate setting. The cantor singing the supporting songs for the dancer was entirely too loud for the space. It was overwhelming. My granddaughter had her hands over her ears to block out the loudness. We eventually had to leave halfway through the show. Anyone that has a difficulty with loud sounds should avoid this venue. We liked the dancers and guitar player very much. The food was good and reasonably priced. The waiters could not have been more helpful and friendly.

My husband and I had a wonderful evening attending this event. Our small private table was right in front of the stage so we had excellent visibility of the dancers. Randall was our server and he took excellent care of us. Dinner was a tasty, three- course presentation which we enjoyed with a bottle of Spanish wine. The dancers were exceptional! Three ladies obviously passionate about their dance. The female singer was quite talented and we were amazed at the skill and endurance of the guitarist. Highly recommend.

The two female dancers and one male dancer presented a vibrant , energetic and passionate flaming dance. The singer has a great deep voice, which adds highlight tot eh whole performance. The guitar player also did a good job .
We didn’t do the dinner one. So only need to order the drinks. To our surprises, the drinks are quite good , better than most of the bar I tried. The sangria is very fruity , and the renacimiento (gin with lemon) is smooth.
The venue is cozy. It was not very busy for our show due to winter season. So we didn’t buy the most expensive ticket, but still quite close to the stage and have a good view .
It is one of the highlights for our trip. The other two are the Tendo coffee shop ( best coffee and crossaint) and Ten3 (best city view, sunset view and nice fine dining experience)

In a small intimate venue you get to watch the dancers and hear the sounds of the singer and guitarist. They work together fluidly to create a memorable evening. More food than you can eat is brought out and the bites of meats, cheeses, and wine among other little dishes such as the Spanish taco add to the delight of the performance. We thought it was well worth the price. Though we chose this for a Valentine's Day experience it would be wonderful at any time. I highly recommend.

The show on Saturday, February 22 was the closest I have ever seen to the shows at the famous tablao in Seville - ,, Los Gallos ''.
The female singer has has a voice range of an opera star.
I really liked the performance of dancer Andrea - she is absolutely fantastic !!!
I hope she continues her study with National Institute of Flamenco and maybe find some teachers in Seville.
The Institute does an amazing job and should be sponsored by the state and federal government.
I hope to return someday, after seeing Friday and Saturday shows this time.
I saw one of the dancers years ago in Los Angeles.
I hope New Mexico Flamenco Festival join forces with Flamenco Festival in New York one day.

Interesting performance and good but unexceptional food. If you already understand Flamenco dance and speak Spanish, you’re good. If not, you’re on your own. Don’t expect any explanation. Don’t expect prompt drink service. And don’t expect to get any silverware for dessert after they cleared everything with your entrees. Do expect a reprimand for your failure to retain utensils. Fortunately, our neighboring table witnessed the rude server behavior, expressed sympathy, and had unused spoons. Based on the response from locals, the performance was impressive. But we had no idea how to interpret it. We really looked forward to this experience but left early very disappointed and irritated.

Is there any difference (performance wise) between the adult-only shows and the shows that are for all ages?

There is no difference in the format of the show or the quality of the artists. The biggest difference is that our Sunday shows begin earlier at 6PM instead of 8PM. Sunday's is also when we offer 50% ticket prices for children 12 and younger.
