Vibrant, romantic, good food and service
Feb 2020
In a small intimate venue you get to watch the dancers and hear the sounds of the singer and guitarist. They work together fluidly to create a memorable evening. More food than you can eat is brought out and the bites of meats, cheeses, and wine among other little dishes such as the Spanish taco add to the delight of the performance. We thought it was well worth the price. Though we chose this for a Valentine's Day experience it would be wonderful at any time. I highly recommend.

The show on Saturday, February 22 was the closest I have ever seen to the shows at the famous tablao in Seville - ,, Los Gallos ''.
The female singer has has a voice range of an opera star.
I really liked the performance of dancer Andrea - she is absolutely fantastic !!!
I hope she continues her study with National Institute of Flamenco and maybe find some teachers in Seville.
The Institute does an amazing job and should be sponsored by the state and federal government.
I hope to return someday, after seeing Friday and Saturday shows this time.
I saw one of the dancers years ago in Los Angeles.
I hope New Mexico Flamenco Festival join forces with Flamenco Festival in New York one day.

Disappointed
Oct 2019 • Couples
We Saw the Flameco dancers last year @ El Flamenco restaurant in Santa Fe... they were fantastic, food was fantastic so decided to see them again this year @ Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque. Very disappointed!! Overpriced hors d’oeuvres & drinks, show was shorter, singer was horrid, he sang so loud it distracted from the dancers... obviously the show was about him. Our seats were uncomfortable, and the stage is nothing compared to El Flamenco. Spend the extra time and drive to Santa Fe to really see the dancers talent up close and personal. Will never go back to Albuquerque. Photo is from Santa Fe, Albuquerque would not allow photos, but the stage backdrop was just plain. And the food at Santa Fe is unbeatable.

I admit I am old but we were disappointed in the style of Flamenco we saw. Have been to Spain and saw Flamenco dancing there and we still like the traditional.

What a great show!

Didn't really know what to expect, but what a great time we had! The dancers were spectacular. The venue was an intimate nightclub-like showroom at the beautiful old Hotel Albuquerque. All in all a most memorable experience which I would highly recommend!

A must see!
Aug 2019
I can cross this off of my bucket list and I am so glad I had the experience. We were a little turned around in locating the venue. It is inside the Hotel Albuquerque. We were early enough to get a table for the four of us (my husband, two young adult sons and myself). We were hungry after site-seeing all day, so we ordered meat/cheese appetizer trays (delicious) and soft drinks. The show was phenomenal. Music was beautiful and dancing was not only mature and skilled but sensuous. I appreciate an adult performance such as this-no props, no adolescent themes. Quite appropriate for adults who appreciate the arts. We attend performances at the Lyric Opera in Chicago and this performance was on that level.

Perfect venue and terrific dance
Aug 2019 • Couples
The Albuquerque Hotel is historic and has a charming old world grace about it that makes it well worth a visit. The small performance venue is very accommodating with tables and comfortable booths where you can order food and drinks. The stage is very intimate so the dancers are very close. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We only had wine as we had already eaten so can’t comment on the food but the dance was very exciting and fun to watch. The guitarist accompanying the dancers was brilliant! I only wish there had been more educational commentary about the dance and it’s origins. A really fun night out!

A wonderful evening!
Jul 2019
The setting, a lovely small stage room in a fine hotel the Tapas delicious. I thought that the performance would not be as thrilling as on the big stage but I was so wrong! The intimacy of the performers looking directly at you beats the proscenium any day. I think this is the way Flamenco was meant to be experienced. The singer was alive with intention, the dancers on fire the guitarist perfect. It was a wonderful evening and at the end everyone was talking to each other like old friends about how exciting the cast was and how we'd be coming back for more .I think most people were from Albuquerque. Our server Joann was so helpful in explaining the menu and afterwards telling us about the performers and just where we could see one of the dancers next when I told her I had seen him dance before at another venue and liked him so much.We had a terrific evening. OLÉ!!!

Good to see once, but probably won’t return
Jul 2019 • Family
I loved the quality of the guitar and the dancers were spirited and excellent. The singer had a bit too much of an operatic quality which I found grating after a while. It is more of a formal place, so I suggest at least a collared shirt and pants. They also make it obvious they expect you to spend money on food and drink while you are there. If possible, get a table in the first two rows. They are the only ones with unobstructed views of the dancers’ feet work, which is half the fun.
