I have mixed feelings about this zoo. It is a much smaller zoo than I'm use to visiting, and this is both a positive and negative feature. Because the zoo is small, the animal enclosures are smaller. On the positive side, this means the animals are much closer to you and you can get a better look at them- great... More

When we travel to the border we always make sure to stop at the zoo here. It seems to always have a breeze and our favorite part is the animals are on little islands. Seems in April there's always lots of babies

We enjoyed our visit. Enclosures appear to have the animals' needs in mind while offering the public opportunities to see them relatively closely. There were staff personnel throughout the park that were engaging and willing to share their knowledge of the animals there. I think the information placards should be placed where children could easily identify the animals and written... More

After you see the zoon, turn left out of the parking lot and in one block you are at the Dean Porter Park.. This is a very nice family park with a play ground for the kids, pavilions for picnics, and a workout course around the park,. I can't believe it's not even listed as a place to review in... More

We enjoy zoos and this one is always fun for the kids. There are a lot of nice exhibits. The zoo is a big hike if it is hot. Keep that in mind for families with young kids and prepare accordingly.

This little zoo is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. It's not so big that you get tired before you see everything , but big enough to have a large variety of animals . There are lots of birds and many kinds of monkeys. It's a good zoo for young families and we saw many of them there.

one of the best zoos in the nation. Very chilled, though I wish they'd give more access to feeding the giraffes and they should have more animal shows

There's a huge playground for kids to enjoy on hot sunny days... Make sure you bring extra clothes for them as they will get wet. It's a small zoo but beautiful. Kind of unique that the some of the animals are on islands. Had a nice and relaxing time enjoying kids laughing and being genuinely curious.
