Awesome dance floor, not as big as whiskey river but it still works. Drinks are cheap! Especially on college night or ladies night. I would highly recommend to get a group together and visit this place! Good from ages 18 all the way up to ages 50.

We drove thru the lot in the daylight to find the location.. Wasn't impressed but were greeted politely saying they'd be open at 7 pm on Christmas Day. We arrived at 7 pm and it looked awesome at night, all neon lights outside. We were greeted by a handful of dancers and spend the next hour meeting and learning new dances. FUN! The DJ started at 8 pm and we practiced what we learned.. Two-Stepping. The co-dancers all took turns dancing with each other (best way to learn). By 10 pm place had filled up and we were tired. We would definitely go back.. Our drinks were very reasonable.

The last few times iv gone this place has gotten dumpy! ropers is now attracting a non-country crowd to put it nicely. .hood..after a couple drinks we left and went downtown. perhaps im just going on the wrong nights. But still if you have a good buzz you can have fun anywhere!

Ropers is a long lasting favorite of real country-western dancers in Corpus Christi, The crowd, mostly regulars, is friendly. The weekend DJ sticks mostly to good c/w dance beats, but as the hour gets later and the crowd gets younger, he switches it up. I've been going there for over 20 years a couple of times a month. My only criticism is that they let the regulars reserve tables, so on Friday and Saturday nights, if you want a table you need to get there early and grab one. There are not many of them available.
