The beach is nice place but the ocean is polluted with plastic bags and other garbage. I hope people (public) would be more considerate by not throwing plastic bags, beer bottles, cans and other children plastic play stuffs or let is wash away. I have...More

The beaches are clean, the water is beautifully blue and you can park on the beach and keep an eye on your vehicle or park on paved areas not far away. Some of the beaches have life guards or you can venture further south on...More

This was worth the 15 min drive. Very few people on the beach. Parked along the surf, pitched a canopy and hung out for the day with little to know traffic.

Nice beach across from our hotel. Wasn’t crowded at all. Our family enjoyed the ocean and beach. Not too commercialized either!

This little island has everything you need. Fishing, surfing and great breakfast. It’s also operates on island time so if you’re looking for a relaxing and inexpensive vacation without the crowds of Padre island then look no further.

I always enjoy the National Park locations. Driving on the beach was easier than expected. We were in a Subaru so I wasn't worried, but large RV's and regular cars easily make the first several miles of beach too.

Sorry I don't check tripadvisor often. I'm not the right person to ask. We stayed in a condo during off season, not a lot of people around. I'm not sure of the tent camping rules. I do know it seemed kind of windy... More

I think you would do better to come to North Padre or even Mustang Island which is just north of North Padre Island. Mustang Island has many more hotels on the beach than North Padre does. Another idea would be to rent an RV... More
