    Stunning Art and views
The Art Museum of South Texas is such a hidden treasure. There is so much to see and take in. There is a surprise almost around every corner. The facility is clean and well lit. The staff is so friendly and eager to provide facts and information. The views from outside are breathtaking and provide the perfect backdrop for engagement, wedding, prom, and birthday photos to name a few. Please go check this museum out of you're in Corpus Christi.

    Pop Art by the bay
Great collection of pop art pieces that would be expected in a New York or Los Angeles gallery. The architecture is a treasure as it sits by the bay on the north end of Corpus. Can't wait to get back and try the beautiful cafe

Beautiful Architecture - Underwhelming Art - Excellent Cafe
The architecture of the museum was nice. Some of the pop art was fun to look at. There was less art than I anticipated. A lot of student art was displayed which was nice to see. The restaurant, Elizabeth's, that is in the museum is wonderful. Great food and an unusual menu. The outdoor space was lovely.

If you enjoy young childrens’ art, this is the place to go. If not, then skip this attraction and save your money for a good mangonada. My family and I visit many museums on our travels and were looking forward to this art museum while we were in Corpus for a few days. The amount of art is minimal and the inflatables took up over half the museum space. I was very disappointed to find out after paying for admission that half the art was covered with tarps for renovations. At least 60% of the museum was filled with youth school age children art and none of it was from my children. Disappointed and a waste of time. FYI… you will not see Dorothy.

We were between exhibits so they didn't charge us anything to get in. That worked out as there was hardly anything in there. It is a really big building so was really surprised to see so much of it empty. I am from Minnesota and have never seen the Minneapolis Institute of Art empty. LOL. On the up side, because there was so little we had a chance to read a lot of the detail on the art that was there. That was kind of fun. I was expecting more from it as Corpus Christi is not a small city.

The exhibition's generally are not well thought out, incoherent hangings. Bad art hung with good (no its not a matter of taste). The building appears run down, there is black mold growing in places. It looks pretty in the pictures they put up, but it has the feeling that teenagers are looking after the house

Small museum. Mostly abstract art with some American or Western art. There's a small gallery with Spanish colonial religious art. That was interesting. The price of admission is pretty steep given the small collection. Very disappointing there isn't more. Very little information or curation on exhibits.

Not very impressed with this museum. Very small, not a lot of art. And what they did have was a little weird. I enjoyed the exhibit on the Spanish Colonial religious art, but the rest was a pass for me. At least it was free, so not a waste of money.

The art collection is not too exciting (but worth going through), but the building layout, the light, the views of the Gulf (strangely, USS Lexington dominates the views from many windows) are all excellent.

We try to do museums and art institutes in cities we visit. Since it is well located by the History and Science museum (definitely worth seeing) not far from the Carrier Lexington (not to be missed, and just off the water front, we decided to go. Expected a few “known” works or artists (there was one Chuhuy chandelier), but really only modern and mostly local Texas or area artists.
