We visited on a Monday at opening and there were only a handful of people visiting. There is a shuttle service from the street to the entrance. All levels of the aircraft carrier are available from the engine room, the mess, the officers meeting halls to the flight deck. The museum has so many aircraft from various theatres. All were... As an Air Force veteran, I was only moderately interested in visiting this aircraft carrier, but I was pleasantly surprised by rich and detailed battle history which was conveyed by the exhibits. Climbing the narrow stairs to the flight deck was fun and showed the rigors of serving on this ship. Parking was easy and the admission cost was minimal.... More

This is a "must see" in Corpus. You could spend a day onboard this great piece of American history. The best part is the wonderful volunteers onboard. They are so willing to help and tell some great stories about this beautiful ship.

This was a great tour of a very historic ship. The tour was nice & well kept. The shuttle to get to ship was really helpful. The only downfall to our visit was trying to get parking

This is a place for the young as there are many different levels and loads of steps up and down. I really enjoyed learning about the ship and all the many stories from the employees. The movie theater on board was fun . There are old planes on the deck of the boat and I understand one can rent areas... More

I could've spent the whole day roaming this ship. I love that I could wander through at my own pace, looking, reading, and enjoying. Some parts I wandered through more than once. Other parts I skipped. My history-loving 7-year-old says this was the highlight of his week-long vacation in Texas.

It was a good visit. The upkeep of the interior is well maintained. It is a huge ship and will sometimes require you to climb through narrow staircases. Watch your head as you walk through the tour. A lot of history to learn! I loved it. Wish I had more time.

If you're a history buff then you'll truly appreciate the magnitude of the USS Lexington. You'll need a good half day to walk around the ship and grasp it's long history.
