The Lexington is a fascinating museum for anyone interested in history, ships in general and Naval aviation in particular. I particularly enjoyed the self-guided below-decks tour of the living, working and engineering spaces. It was very inexpensive, and they also give a military to all active duty and retired service people.

A good way to spend a couple of hours and not too expensive. The 3D show is worth watching. The flight deck is a sight to behold

A good reminder of the sacrifices veterans have made for us . It's also a great workout to say the least .

A lot of love and care went into this museum and memorial. I spent 5 hours on the various self-guided tours offered on the ship, and I loved all of it. The exhibits offer varying levels of interaction, and they let you get as close as you can to the equipment and models while still preserving their integrity. Wandering an... More

While in Corpus Cristi for a couple of days my wife and I visited the US S LEXINGTON. What a neat experience! Granted, I am fascinated by aircraft carrier's and airplanes but I think that almost anyone would enjoy this piece of history. I was really struck by the enormity of the ship and to make it even more impressive,it... More

I've been on the Lexington before, but it still amazes me the enormity of it. It's been in several predominate battles, in the background for other historical moments (it was one of the ships in Tokyo Bay when Japan signed the Instrument of Surrender in September 1945) & is primarily used as a working training ship (crew live on the... It was hot, but my mom and I really enjoyed the experience! It is a massive ship! The planes were awesome to see up on that massive deck. Lots of fun, but I would advise you to get there early to beat the heat!

We all had a great time seeing this great piece of history. It was a little pricey for a family of 6, but I'm still glad we went. It's hard to believe how something of this size can be built and actually float! It was great to see all the old planes too.

This is a great attraction with or without the kids. There is so much to see and do that everyone should get something out of it. Walking through the different levels of the ship get a good sense of the space that sailors live in as well as the history of the Lexington. It's big enough to wear the kids out...and... More

Been to a number of ship museums before and this is by far the best! They have a number of aircraft on the flight deck, two of the planes from the movie Top Gun and there are several volunteers throughout, all military veterans, who are able to answer questions. Nicely done!
