Very interesting explanation how the planes take off and land. The retired Veterans that volunteer on the ship are very interesting and their stories really add to the experience. Take the time to talk to them. Watch the movie it also gives you a better perspective to life on the ship. Lots of old air planes to look at. Take... More

Enjoyed the visit so much especially as my father in law had spent the night on the ship many years ago and was a veteran. The historic items displayed were interesting and the areas where they showed where the occupants lived onboard were very interesting as well as the Planes from different era's. Absolutely worth a visit for sure!

This is amazing! True piece of history that is breath taking. You can go and see the outside of it for free or you can pay a reasonable fee to go on the ship and see everything. Im saving my next visit to actually go on the ship but I walked all the way up the ramp to the ship... More

six of us in our 50's spent a half day on the Lexington on a long weekend getaway. One of the highlights of our trip and definitely worth the inexpensive admission. All exhibits and displays are outstanding and one could easily spend the better part of a day there if you really want to soak it all in.

USS Lexington was a valuable aircraft carrier. It's a must see if you are near Corpus Christi on the Gulf Coast of Texas. It's anchored in Corpus Christi Bay. Walk on, walk off. Tours are given regularly with haunting tours upon request. Scout Troops may reserve a night to stay on board!! Plenty of restaurants near by. No smoking and... More

I enjoy going here as often as I can. No matter how many times I visit it never gets old. I enjoy taking my son with me now that he is older and can climb around on everything. This is a must see and enjoy your time. It can be hot during our Texas Summers, so a Winter trip for... More

... Lexington would be a good place to start. She is an Essex-class WW2 carrier that served up into the 1980s. Aircraft from various related time periods make the flight and hangar decks interesting. The movies on offer are nothing you haven't seen on TV at one time or another, but seeing how our sailors had to live onboard gives... More

Beauty on the bay. We spent a few hours here, viewed everything but did not read everything. Watched the demonstration on the flight deck and really enjoyed the crowd being a part of it. There is an elevator that can take you from the hangar to the flight deck. However, there's lots in the ship to see that you wouldn't... More
