The Oxon Hill Farm is run by the National Park Service and gives young children a change to see how farming was done in the early 1900s. Because there is no admission, it's the perfect place to take youngsters to explore and learn without worrying about leaving before you see and experience everything. You can take them there the next... More

I took my 1yo so to the farm to see some animals. It was easy to get to (just off the beltway near the WW bridge), parking was plentiful and convenient, and best of all the farm is FREE. Just walk right in. We went on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon in spring, so I thought it would be pretty... More

This park is focused around an old historic farm. There is an exhibit building. My 4 year old grandson loved the indoor exhibit, but the outdoor farm animals were even better. We had a family reunion picnic in a lovely spot under the shade trees. There are picnic tables, trash cans, grills, and plenty of lawn upon which to run... More

Before I went, I didn't realize this was mostly geared toward kids, but it was nice anyway. It's still a fully functioning farm, which is rare in this area!

Oxon Hill Farm is a lovely farm which doesn't get old after multiple visits. It's a great place to take a trip (especially with children) on a warm, sunny day. The farm is pretty large, it has big pastures with cows, horses, chickens, and cats wander around; we've also been lucky to see many deer run across the fields. If... More

A beautiful 19th century farm that has been resurrected and preserved by the National Park Service. Set on a hill overlooking the Potomac, it features cows, pigs, horses, chickens and even a mule. The full range of old farm equipment and implements along with small museums brings farming alive. Join park rangers to gather eggs from the chickens, milk the... More

When in the area you must stop by! A great park with working farm. Beautiful! We would have stayed longer if it wasn't so unusually hot!
