We went to Liquid Joe's for the first time last night, to see our favorite ska band, The Toasters. The place was cleaner and more comfortable than we expected, it had a friendly, safe vibe, and the sound system was FAR better than you'd expect in a place like this. Can't comment on the kitchen or the bar because we didn't eat or drink. But if a band we like comes to this venue, we would not hesitate to get tickets.

This bar isn't really near anything. They do have a fun 80s cover band called Metal Gods that do a weekly residency – worth it at least once. The bar itself is nice & clean.

Liquid Joes is a total dive bar. Dingy, small and kind of gross. But when the Spazmatics come and do covers of 80's songs, this place comes alive and it's really fun!

I go here a couple time's a year (we don't live close) to see the band The Spazmatics when they play, and we always have so much fun! The band plays a lot of throw back, hair band songs (along with others) and are great with the crown and know how to get everyone up and dancing (or is it the alcohol? Both are great). It is a bar for jeans and t-shirts. Nothing I'd dress up for unless I was going for a girl's night or something. The bar has great servers who have always been really nice and making sure we are taken care of. I have thrown a couple birthday parties and a bachelor/bachelorette party here and they have allowed me to come early to decorate tables and allowed me to keep them reserved. We had to be there around 8:30 or so, but we were fine to beat the crowd and have a couple drinks before everyone arrived. It was nice knowing I could keep my cake there, candy on the table, etc, and know that it wouldn't be disturbed. I am grateful to the owner and the bartender for being so accommodating. There isn't a whole lot of parking in their lot, but we parked across the street to the South side, and our car wasn't disturbed.
