Even the nose-bleed seats are decent!

I've enjoyed every show I've seen here recently. I can't usually afford "good" seats, but even at the top of the balcony, I've always felt happy with my decision to go.

With the major renovation completed this old gal looks even more amazing! The only complaint I have is that they did not add anymore water fountains when they added the new wing and restrooms. Maybe they just want people to buy more water bottles from them. The acoustics in this building are fantastic. The stage might be small, but the... More

Saw/heard "The Marriage of Figaro" here this week. Great venue. We have enjoyed perhaps half a dozen performance at the Capitol and all have been outstanding. I'm not sure why but at every performance we have been greeted by someone in a kilt. Being a kilt wearer it is fun start to an always good performance.

My wife and I have been season subscribers to a number of arts organizations in Salt Lake City which present in the Capitol Theatre--which is over 100 years old now and run by Salt Lake County. Although updated and renovated periodically over the years, the most recent addition of the beautiful new Ballet Centre next door also expanded the Capitol... More

I took my wife to see Romeo & Juliet put on by Ballet West for Valentines Day. The theatre itself is very nice. Seats are VERY narrow and rows are VERY close together. I am 5'7" and 190 and my shoulders and arms were touching the person on either side of me. The guy in back of me was taller... More

Attended a matinee performance of 42nd Street with friends, and we all loved the show! Love the charm and beauty of this old theater - I am sad to hear they are building a new venue for SLC. I hope they keep this theater going, perhaps bringing in different types of musical acts as well as theater. SLC needs a... More

If you love live theater and happen to be in SLC, this is a great place to see traveling broadway casts do their thing...most popular broadway performances that come through Salt Lake come to the Capitol Theater. They keep everything very professional.
