There isn't a bad seat in the house. The lineups are good and diverse. There is always someone great to see and the prices are not high. Beware of resale ticket sites. Go to the State Room site to buy your tickets!

Along with the expanded venue of the Commonwealth Room, the State Room brings the best bands in an intimate setting, amongst community friends.

Stateroom is one of my favorite music venues in the world. I've been attending shows here for about 10 years and always have the best experience. No matter what band is playing and even if I might not be totally into the music, the venue itself is worth the price of admission. Incredible sounding from any seat in the house, professional and friendly staff! The bands that come through this venue are all world class.

This place is really the best. They have consistently great bands, great sound, comfortable cushioned benches in stadium seating behind a big dance floor right in front of the stage. If you are looking for some live music, I highly recommend checking out The State Room.

At the spur of the moment we decided to listen to some live blues music at The State Room the evening before Salt Lake City's Blues Festival. The price was good at 20 bucks a ticket, and the bands were talented. Standing on the floor was fun, but the elevated, arena seating felt weird. Acoustics were excellent, and the crowd on this particular evening made me feel young. I guess the "Blues" are appreciated by an older crowd. Perhaps the techno generation won't allow themselves to express sadness in a creative manner. Do millenials think it's a sign of weakness? Maybe having an outlet for feeling blue can lower the escalating suicide rate. There's nothing wrong with singing "Stormy Monday." Monday's will always suck. The State Room was okay, but it lacked some soul on this bluesy Friday night.

Hey Philip, Not much we can do in regards to the age of the crowd coming out for some blues (though we definitely agree with you, the blues are timeless)! The event you are referring too was the Utah Blues Festival Pre-Fest, at which the Utah Blues Festival (UBF) did the majority of the marketing. Thus, the crowd drawn to the venue was a UBF crowd. If you'd like to give us another shot at achieving a 5-star review, send an email to pr@thestateroom.com and we'll get you set up with a pair of tickets to another show! Cheers, The State Room

This is a low key venue that actually serves wine & beer in UT🤣!! They have surprisingly good groups there and every seat is a good one.
