While some friends golfed in Washington, I took the ferry solo to Victoria, BC. The crossing was easy and it made for a fun day. I visited Butchart Gardens, which were amazing but lots of people just hung out in Victoria shopping and eating. Ferry...More

We made reservations online well in advance which included clear instructions on where and when to show up. The ride was smooth and ship was clean. Very efficient trip.

If you're looking for a cruise ship experience this isn't it. More like a city bus, but clean, well-run and efficient.

Border patrols were nice to deal with. Ask me if I had fruits or vegetables. Yes, one tomatoe. They took it away. The irony is that it came from California in the first place. The boat was cleaned.

Take your Sea Bands in case the waters are choppy and book the morning Ferry. We didn't see any "barf bag" dispensers on board and our transits were smooth. Have fun!

I'm prone to motion sickness and didn't need anything. But couldn't hurt to bring just in case!
