We like to take the Black Ball ferry because then we don’t have to drive through Seattle or go through the busy Peace Arch wait going over the border. You get the border patrol taken care of while you’re waiting to get on the ferry.

It's a great trip all year but right now it's fantastic to ride the Black Ball!! The exchange rate in Canada is the best in years!!! The crowds have gone home and it's beautiful in Port Angeles and Victoria!!!

The ferry was very easy to use! Everything was right on time. Plenty of parking near the terminal for 12-15 per day. Bought a sweet roll and coffee in the little cantina then sat and enjoyed the 1.5 hour trip.

We have been taking this boat intermittently since 1980, and it has always been fast, clean, and comfortable, even in rough weather. It is an older boat, but very well taken care off. Everybody I have ever dealt with on either the US or Canada...More

We went to Victoria from port Angeles. We had had pre-purchased the tickets. My elderly mom is afraid of the water and was a bit reluctant to get on the ferry. It was great to see her enjoy it so much after all. We took...More

We were walk-on day trip passengers from Victoria to Port Angeles. Was a breeze and the staff were all friendly. An older vessel but clean, well equipped and we loved the covered top deck area!

This was the first time we were going to use a ferry in travels. I found the staff very informative on the phone as well as the dock. Amazing ride to Victoria!

This was a fun and comfortable ride with my family between Port Angeles and Victoria. Comfy seats and a decent selection for breakfast. Fast and easy through customs really nice people. Will definitely do it again.

There are numerous tour buses leaving from several locations close to where you depart from the ferry but whether or not they allow dogs I do not know. I suggest that you contact Victoria tourism to get a better answer.

We do not travel to Seattle. We travel to Port Angeles, which is about 2.5 hours from Seattle. For walk-on travelers, there are several transportation options to get you to Seattle from Port Angeles, including the Strait... More

Good question. There are parking lots that you can park and go. I’d just pay up to 2 days.
