Easy traveling

Easy on, smooth sailing, easy off. If you're lucky like we were you'll see some whales! Would sail with them again.

Got our tickets ahead of time, arrived an hour early, remembered our passports, smooth boarding and unloading.

It had been years since my last trip on the Black Ball Ferry. Everything about the trip reminded me just how simple it is to travel to Victoria with ease. I traveling with 3 kids and two grandmas could have been a challenge, but the wifi and a couple rounds of Uno made the trip pass by quickly.

We made a short trip to Victoria, taking our car. The actual trip was pretty good (we saw whales!). The seats are quite comfortable. Caveats: 1. Book well in advance in summer, the car slots fill up. 2. Bear in mind you cannot return to your car during the ride, so if you need an extra jacket/ binocs/ camera/ wallet... More

From Port Angeles (a beautiful little town) Washington State, you can find the most reasonable price to sail to Victoria, B. C. by walking on (round trip $36.00 usd). It's a smooth ride on Black Ball. It's clean, comfortable with free WiFi. In a clear day, you can see the beautiful Mt. Baker, Cascade Ridge, Olympic Moutains, gaint oil ships,... More

Our first car ferry trip. It was very comfortable, relaxing and the best part was whale watching and seeing 6 Humpback whales. Loading and unloading was well orchestrated and the people at customs were decent. The Canadian customs agents were much more friendly than the US ones.

Great ferry ride from Port Angeles to Victoria. Staff were courteous and loaded us all on time. Left right on schedule. Observation deck is enclosed with comfortable seats and big viewing windows. Open air Upper deck is nice when not too windy. Concession stand with drinks and snacks.

Not a lot to review about but I can say that the number of times we have crossed, they are vey efficient with what they do. I am amazed how many times a day they load and unload with out nearly a glitch. The crossing takes only about an hour and a half which goes by quickly. Great views!

This was a fun trip to Victoria. The snack bar was spartan. The decks were nice, and I even saw a whale on the ride over.

I loved going on the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C. The trip lasts about 90 minutes, not including customs. There is a cafeteria onboard as well as a Coho Duty Free shop. I look forward to returning one day.
