Great views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Good views of the town, especially at night. Lots of cars out there in the evening, perhaps a lovers lane.

This narrow peninsula curves out into the strait that separates the the Olympic Peninsula from Vancouver Island. Large rocks have been added to stabilize this sandy hook and protect the road that extends out to the end of the hook. The inner bay is calm and a good spot to see birds. We saw Canada Geese and heron and gulls. We walked on the sandy strait side and saw large ships and smaller craft cruising by. There are several feral cats living among the boulders. There are also good views of the mountains rising up behind Port Angeles. If you want a more natural and beautiful setting, visit the Dungeness Spit a bit further to the East. It does not have a road and it is a long hike out to the lighthouse. If you prefer to drive out, the Ediz Hook is an easy trip.

We watched a group of Canadian geese with their chicks frolicking in the water. There is plenty of drift wood to sit on. We would recommend

Who knew - big waves, cruise ships, fresh salty air? Ediz Hook has it all. Very refreshing place to visit. We watched two cruise ships go into Victoria, a container ship, the ferry to Victoria, bird, waves - amazing! Could have stayed for hours, but we stayed long enough to be invigorated. We'll go back. Again, and again...
