We purchased tickets to hear the Macon Orchestra play at the Grand Opera last year in Macon,Georgia.. Oh how glad I was to have gone. It really was one of the best performance I have been to in along time. In other words they were the best of the best. Also the Bibb County Honor Choir sung as well .They... More

Start your enjoyment of one of the wide varieties of productions at the Grand by admiring the beauty and architecture that surrounds you. Then sit back and enjoy the performance from any seat--there are no bad ones. We've been Broadway Series subscribers for years and usually attend one or more additional offerings as well. The quality of the productions, coupled... More

We have enjoyed a few different plays here and they were well executed and a pleasure to see great acting and singing wonderful old building downtown Macon. Historic old building very clean and very enjoyable to attend.

Drove from atlanta to see Gregg allman play in a smaller venue. We were in the back but still felt close.

Theater is beautiful, productions are well done for a small town. School groups enjoy going there so much. Staff is helpful. Beautifully restored, good accoustics.

I saw Nutcracker and a Asian dance/gymnastic show there. Good seats, adult refreshments and the theater is of course haunted. Parking is good. Never a bad time.

The Grand Opera House in Macon, or just "The Grand" as the locals call it, was constructed in 1884 and served the city of Macon through parts of 3 centuries adapting itself to new forms of entertainment as required by changing times. The fact that those of us in the 21st century are included in that is thanks to some... More

Go here as often as I can. Great acoustics, concert or play! Theater has been meticulously restored. Gorgeous facility, comfortable seating. Not a bad seat in the house!

We took our 6th graders to see Sherlock Holmes today. The theatre reminds me of a small Foxx Theatre. The staff was excellent. The theatre felt like the title--Grand. I think the box seating was lovely too. I will plan an annual field trip there because our students do not get the opportunity to learn or watch cultural artist.

Have enjoyed MANY wonderful shows at the Grand Opera House. It is a jewel in the small town of Macon, GA. (I am from NYC, so Macon is a small town to me.) So glad to have such a beautiful place to enjoy live theatre experiences with friends and family.
