A trip to the Museum of Arts and Sciences is always a treat. My favorite thing would have to be the Planetarium.

We didn't have high expectations. But it was raining so we needed an indoor activity. Though definitely created for kids, our family of two adults and a college Sophmore had a good time. The live animal show was hilarious (love the parrot!) And the planetarium show was OK. The artwork around the place was a special treat, too. And a... More

I would recommend this museum for parents/grandparents with children. As an adult alone I suggest you skip this one.

This is a fairly inexpensive outing. They have military discounts as well which is nice. We enjoyed the visit but some of exhibits were closed and some were well worn. Not sure how often they update areas but they should take a look and make some changes where needed. The mini zoo area was a nice surprise but even some... More

We stopped at this museum on our way down to FL. Our group had 3 adults and 3 kids (7, 5, and 2). My husband enjoyed the first area (atoms, molecules, etc). My kids really liked the area that had the dinosaur "dig" and weather screen. They also really liked the small animals area. The only cons I had were... More

We drove 2 1/2 hours just for this. We were not disappointed. The kids (9&3) loved it especially the planetarium and mini zoo. It's a great place to spend a few hours on a rainy south GA day.

My 9 year old wants to go back. This isn't the biggest museum, but there is a lot of hands on activities and they are still working on it. The planetarium was great, and even my 4 year old sat through it. My son was sad though that we didn't get to do that gravity wheel thing. We were informed... More

My 8 & 9 year old children both enjoyed this museum. We went and saw the live animal presentation. The children were able to pet some of the animals and learn about them. We also watched the planatarium show which was all about stars. They were both starting to yawn by the end of the star presentation. There were several... More

Took the kids to the Museum of Arts and Sciences today and they had a blast. The planetarium was very cool and the mini zoo was a nice surprise. There is a military discount available.
